Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

this arguement does not stand firm..

also vulcan was introduced as an unlimited amo gun with great range and good precision. By introducing several drawbacks it was then balanced to the rest. Melee demage can also be balanced. By adding self damage when melee damage occurs? It's not likely they'll add it in the game. If melee damage introduced, every hull should have it.

 

@Cyrus:

nice ideas. My concerns are:

- price is not a usefull thing to balance (price is a question of time here). You need something else to balance

- with a fast hull with light armour, I give away my speed advantage every time I bump into an enemy tank. Cause then I loose all my speed. So am I a hunt-one-tank-kamikaze runner then? Was this the plan?

 

Develop them further!

 

 

What about a hull with 4-8 legs. It could be about medium speed and health but it could go over larger objects than most others. This would also make it taller than any other hull and easier to snipe.

Has to have a limit to crawling over objects.

LOL, that Hull would make Mammoth, Viking, Hornet and Hunter obsolete.....sorry, but no.

Actually it would make Hunter, Viking and Dictator 100% obsolete.

Any Hull would be obsolete with that kind of armor and speed, but yeah, your right.

Why? My rail also does not overheat, just because Vulcan does it now.

My Rico still shots 1 shell at a time, although hammer shots multiple pettets at once.

And each oter shells also did not ricochet from walls, as Rico was introduced.

 

Following your argument all these diverse guns with individual freatures are very unlikely. But they are here today.

Still a bad idea, IMHO......

agree ;)

This would be the next "top choice hull"..

Maybe we should think of other things, not just armor and speed.

Stability, mele demage, effects on team, slowing down enemies.. other parameters that set hulls apart.

Becuase the span from fast+little armor  - to  - slow+great armour is already here

A new hull should be called Striker. It has the speed of a hornet and defense of the hunter(m0). And you get nitro with it. To use nitro you must press Q and then it recharges for 3 mins of battle. And you can keep upgrading the nitro and makes it the time lower and the max you can lower it is 1 min and 41 seconds.When you press the button it makes a Bee sound. There are two holes at the back of the hull there for the nitro. The nitro gives the tank a 5% increase in speed.  The weight is 1000kg. It has 753 power. Turning speed is 30. Those are the starting off marks of it. The design on the hull should be electricity(white) with black paint.    The starting cost should be 1000 crystals. For creating this hull I would like 10,000 crystals and free copy of it.

I thank that there should be as many hulls as there are turrets. more hulls would be great, and I even have names elephant, bee, crusher.  :)                                     thank you for your time.

The developers actually mentioned some ideas about two hulls:

 

The concept of the first hull would make it a hovercraft. It hovers, above the ground. It can be easily pushed around by hulls (so its not flying) and the knock-back force from projectiles (which, obviously, come out from turrets). Mines should still be able to hit this hull. Now, the good thing about this hull is that its extremely hard to flip and it can "fall off cliffs" without any risk of landing upside down. It should be considered a medium hull and should have the health and speed of something around Viking and Dictator's health and speed.

 

The concept of the second hull would be a hull that could only fire when its not moving (this does not include movement of the turret). This hull, as it compromises its opportunities to fire, should have good health, moderate speed, and everything else you would likely find in a heavy hull.

  • Same speed of ( Titan )
  • Same Heavy of ( Titan
  • Same Power of ( Titan )
  • Same Weight of ( Mammoth )
  • Any Shape looks ^_^

My first thought was that he wanted a tank that could split up and go through buildings.....and when I envisioned it, I thought that when you split up, the laser goes through, and not the tank, and I was like, WAHT!! What's the point if it can't go through walls??

 

So yeah, I was very confused.

Oh wait, I still am....

I said that it goes around the building or whatever, without the tank going through the building. The tank would be separated in half and held together by lasers which would allow you go around buildings not through them... if u dont understand ya dont understand, thats your problem. There should be a heavy hull called the Tyrant.

Basically it's a hull that has the turret on the far back end.

 

Reason: 

If hulls are divided by types, then heavy hulls should have this at least because

Wasp and Dictator have this concept but they're not heavy hulls; nor is there a heavy hull that has this concept either.

 

     Specifications: 

Armor: Should be between Dictator and Titan's hp: which is at M3+ = 360 armor

     (Dictator M3+ = 330 armor & Titan M3+ = 390 armor)

Top speed: Should be 7 in M3+ because the same applies to above

      (Dictator M3+ = 8 top speed & Titan M3+ = 6 top speed)

Guys, I'm excited! In the recent V-log, they said that when Unity comes, they might introduce new hulls that they couldn't due to the game's current engine!!! Which means those ideas for tanks with legs, hovercrafts, and temporarily-stationary hulls might come!!!!! Unity, please come quick...........

ok there are 3 medium hulls, 2 heavy hulls and 2 light hulls. so my idea is, add little more health to hunter (wouldnot be bad idea at all since u never see hunters on a battle field) and make something slower then hornet, more life, but less then hunter. also make hunter little slower. There is a question "is Hunter medium or light hull?" theoredicly its medium, practicly its both, so make it more medium. then you should make a hull between mammoth and titan. titan is fast, mammoth has lot of health, make something in between. so this way lightest to heaviest:

light: Wasp-Hornet-___  medium  Hunter-Dictator-Viking     Heavy Titan-____-Mammuth. 2more hulls
