Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Care to elaborate?

Viking has only 0.5 more units of speed than hunter.

 

Hunter has way better acceleration than Viking along with better stability.

 

The way these new OD are going to work, will be for balance purposes. Viking will at least have a long range aspect even if it'll be for a few seconds. And Hunters new OD that is currently planned will allow you to surprise unsuspecting enemies with that fast acceleration.

And yes. I do use hunter. I love it with thunder.

 

IF YOU REARRANGE THE LETTERS OF THUNDER AND REMOVE THE D, YOU ALSO GET HUNTER! (Just in case anyone didn't know.)

 

I really want hunter to have the rapid fire overdrive. It will be awesome on it, because it's the medium hull and MEDIUM SPEED.

Hunter does have more acceleration, BUT it doesn't make sense to give a hull with less stability and faster TOP speed the long range overdrive and giving the hull with more stability and less top speed a SHORT range overdrive, you need to reach people with the sort range overdrive and viking is FASTER for that 

Hunter is already better than Viking in almost every way, you want people to not ever use Viking again?

Actually in every battle it's either Viking/Titan

The ODs idea is very good...but need for little edit

 

wasp OD is nice but the damage is low when the pump active so we should make the damage little bit higher

hornet dont have any problems

hunter:when you activate the OD is take some time ...make the time little bit lower

mammoth: OD activate time should be 4 sec.

titan: make the OD activate time 5 sec

viking:make the relod time without any changes but delete the increase of damage Or do the opposite

dictator: i dont see any different thing happened when you activate the OD so i make a new OD for it....when you activate the OD make a magnetic waves makes all shots go on it and make the armor doubled

 

thats all :) hope tanki do this soon

Because typical idiots think that speed is more important than stability. When really, it's the other way around.

 

And Vikings top speed isn't even that noticeable compared to hunters top speed.

Viking and Hunter have noticeable differences in handling and weight, the speed is also noticeable if you are using a light hull or capturing flags.

Notice difference in speed between light hulls and medium hulls?  Definitely.

 

Notice difference in speed between Viking and Hunter?  Not so much.

 

The race would have to be over a good distance since Hunter starts off faster. it's only once they reach top speeds that Vking will catch and eventually pass Hunter.

In the past we have seen hulls with too many benefits and some with barely any. And it's still that way today.

And I think it's because pushing power and acceleration are in the same stat (power).

So my suggestion is to split them into 2 different stats.

This way in one weight class, one hull can have a higher concentration of speed and acceleration, lower concentration of the weight and pushing power. Another can have a higher concentration of weight and pushing power, and a lower concentration of speed and acceleration. And the third can be in the middle.

Aren't they literally the same thing? Higher acceleration is what causes pushing power to increase.

Yeah, but it gave the hull with a higher concentration of them like four different advantages including better at the peek a boo, and better hull rocking ability. And this is literally all in one stat.

What I'm saying is, it's probably impossible to separate those stats. You can't decrease acceleration without decreasing pushing ability.

Sure you can.

 

Push [should be] = (X)Weight * (Y)Acceleration

 

You can can reduce (Y)A while increasing (X)Weight.

 

We just don't know if X=Y, or if X>Y or if X<Y.  I've seen a hornet push a Titan, so it leads me to believe Y > X... which IMO is backward.

i think the new hull would be very durable. but a good hit from smoky would send it spinning. fast but hard to stop. meaning i can see new players fly towards you only to miss and fly off the map. also immunity to mines. as you fly over them you can't trigger them. this isn't a big deal because honestly who uses mines? also forget putting the magnum on it that will only give you a flipped tank. oh and for a name icarus seems appropite since it flies but hermes is also okay.
