Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Instead off adding armor piercing ammo devs should have just added special effect augment for ODs. 

Give Dictator's OD a little more all the other hulls have such cool op ODs.

Dictator's OD:

Often after activating dictators OD I get blasted by multiple shots, or effects of other ODs which is to much to handle. even sharing od to heal others and me is wasted by other ods or EFFECTS. all the other ods can nullify other od effects, armor breaking, bomb, emp, berserk, ..... .

Suggestion: Add a feature to OD of dictator: activating od gives 5 sec shields to dictator, like a very small version of titan dome with 90% protection

I agree, Dictator's overdrive is the only one that doesn't truly make you "Godmode" on a certain level.

One of the moderators actually told me Dictator is like this because it's overdrive is supposed to help support teammates....but the thing is...

Titan's overdrive also supports teammates....but they are 90% invincible in that shield.....aka....Godmode.

Player tends to forget that Dictator OD give its owner 10 battle points for each ally within its range of effect. 10 battle points score is equivalent to kill one enemy without even facing one. +50% overdrive boost to allies means allies around him can get there OD 100% and activate it to become invincible straight away that in return help him (e.g. Dome generator).

Again players wrongly assess feature by the number of kill or its high destructive power ...

Hey Tanki! 

I was thinking lately about the Auto-correct of floating hulls direction as the turret is moving. 

I came to the conclusion that you could control the Auto-correction by right-clicking the mouse.

You can do that as long as you right-click the mouse the hull regulates its direction.

That is my personal suggestion.

A teamplayer understand what is required to help the team. And in this case the dictator is the best tool for team playing. 
Each hull/OD has it advantages and drawbacks, it is up to you to find out which one suits the situation gamemode and your play style.

I am all for more power and a faster recharge for Dictator,... or any overdrive as a matter of fact. More is always better. 
Share your OD, help your team win and get EZ battles points => then you are top of the scoreboard and get more crystals. If this doesn't worth the "sacrifice" then what does?

As you can see how unreliable sharing OD is for me. ?? I keep trying to support [isida+snano+dict] but they are just going to pop their dome away from point and enemy kills me before other team players. I ended avg even after trying too hard. and we lost the match. I kept dying for nothing, this is usual.

For some reason everyone thinks support is easy score but you are wrong. killing is much easier. I do that also.

The Armor Piercing status effect allows both the individual applying it, as well as the entirety of that person's team, to take advantage of affected Players not having the effects of Double Armor or protection modules. Since this makes it easier to kill opponents for team mates, I think it should be regarded as an assist, and thus, the person applying the AP status effect should be rewarded with 5 battle points for each tank that is destroyed by a team member that was given the AP status effect. With this being said, I think it should be worked so that only Hornet's Overdrive can provide points, similar to the way Dictator's Overdrive gives the user battle points based on the number of helped team mates, instead of just any piece of equipment that applies the AP effect to counteract the power of this mechanic.

I think that since things like Isida and Mechanic drone give points to the user for benefitting the team, applying the AP status effect should do the same, since it basically makes tanks half as strong (if they are using Double Armor). Hopefully this update comes out!

I have one problem with this idea: when i decided to use hornet after the OD rework, i decided it because it helped me during the battle. I don't want to be the supporter hornet, i wan't to attack, deall full damage to opponents, and use my OD for myself. If i want to support my team mates, i will equip ductator-engeener-sn, and i will help them. We have a support OD (2 if we count titan as support), we don't need more. Hornet should be reworked again, making it balanced, not too OP or UP, but it has to get back it old role in the battle. I already suggested a rework that would probably make it balanced with all type of turrets, if you are interested, check this topic.

You mean like when a hunter stuns enemies but also removes their supplies?  And team-mates have an easier time killing them?

Yes, but Hornet's Overdrive is widely more useful to team members because the distance of its effects

Sure, but it's not like old hornet OD so it's only those in LOS affected, not entire enemy team.

Anyway... it's still basically the same thing  - one tank weakens enemies and others can reap the benefits.

I think my skills are so good that when playing in any team I should be rewarded with an assist for every kill that my teammates is doing.

pretty much, everyone knows how hopper's overdrive is affected now.

The burn damage is technically applied by your turret. 

This gets very wierd.

I do not think that resistance should apply to the burn damage. This is unfair (yes hopper is broken enough but anyways) because there is already a augument that takes away 1/2 of the damgae, and in lower matchmaking (like what im playing in), we do not need to nerf the burn anymore...

Evo stance for evolution means here an ability to adapt to different conditions. This idea inspired by Slay the spire game and its 4th character The Watcher. Also it could be similar to Crisis drone mechanic. The idea here that each time you use the overdrive you change the mode of the hull. Yes, something like passive effect overdrive here. Hull have three modes: normal (after the respawn), defence and offence. OD activation change your mode like: N-O-N-D-N-O ect. Hull itself will be medium. Sth like that:

  • Normal: no effects. Gives extra damage to itself and teammates when changed to Offence. Heals itself and teammates when changed to Defence.
  • Offence: speed boost, armor decrease. Ignites everyone around itself when changed to Normal (killed).
  • Defense: armor boost, speed decrease. Freezes everyone around itself when changed to Normal (killed).

Standard Hull. NOT Hovering.

  • Medium Hull. Between Viking and Hunter. Just so the Hunter hull can redeem its rightful place in the middle.
  • Same Speed as Viking. 
  • Overdrive: for 7 seconds, it give the turret a special Augment. Healing Rounds.

Healing Rounds is inspired from the Vampiric effect of the old Isida, which many players miss.

  • When the Overdrive is used. Any turret that damages the enemy will heal the tank owner's hull by 100% (Or maybe 50% if it proves too OP).

For example, Using (Hull)/Thunder, activate Healing Rounds. I dealt 760 damage to the enemy, I get 760 HP in return. I splashed a couple of enemies totaling to 2105 damage. I heal 2105 HP.

  • This is an Overdrive, NOT a Hull Augment. 

What do you guys think?

Is this interesting? We can decide on a balance later...

Is it useless? Like as in saying, "nO mOrE hULLs!!!"

Do you want it to be Hovering?

Agree, but maybe in the future, if this game become popular somehow, the Devs might add another Hull. If they do, I hope the next one won't be a hovering one.

This actually sounds like a turret augment to me. It's just not interesting enough to be a whole separate hull.
