Flying Saucers and the real Tanki

 Share

Question

While playing the game lately I feel like it should be called star wars because of the introduction of the hopper.  In battle it often feels like you are fighting a Flying Saucer rather than a tank.  One of the great things about Tanki is that it had a realistic feel about it...you are fighting another army and other tanks.  Now,  I feel like with the introduction of the "flying saucers", it is just a make believe fantasy. Any chance we will ever get back to real tanki and get rid of the fluff?

Ouch-Ouch

They merely jump, they do not fly (unless under low G which is not available in MM), but yes they do look futuristic and sci-fi like ?.

They are not tank as they do not have caterpillar tracks, but they still are armoured fighting machine.

Tanki since the 2009 has played with mechanics based on the unusual, cutting edge and futuristic technologies for the Turret design, IMO the experimental Hopper is not so different from Twins (Plasma balls technology) turret, bouncing plasma ball from Ricichet and the Isida (nanotechnology) that heal or destroy. They just move hull into that same direction.

But the good thing is that it shows also the progress made by Tanki on  skin design (polygons, glows and moving part). That is the kind of visual quality we can expect for the next hull and turret standard equipment in future update.
