Truth about an important topic (not complaint)

Yes I have returned from the dead to give one last remark about the current state of the game. I believe it's doing so well but has some points to work on

- The PING can become really tedious at times, skyrocketing to very high numbers and remaining turbulent, I don't like that. FPS doesn't drop much anymore which is good.

- New alt. which disables armor is awful, complete waste of an update imo. I know it's a big brain move to just make something which disables defense, the most important parameter of your tank, then market a solution to it, but it's becoming too common recently having your armor snatched like it's nothing. First Hornet, then Gauss and now pretty much any turret.

Overall I do not think the game is heading in the wrong direction, I admire many of the newer updates, but these 2 points can potentially hinder the greatness of some of the recent changes.

Let me know what you think, I made this to see what other players think about this

Peace out

I beg to differ.

The game is going to suffocate under the constant fiddling and "invention" of new ways of "disabling" and "counter-disabling" and "counter-counter-counter-disabling" features that us players are supposed to buy for real money.

Dear tanki, if players do not invest it's not because you haven't set your money traps properly. It's because there is not enough appeal from a game that has never gotten beyond its "great startup" status.

Agree with you, it's becoming more confusing than ever to play this. Drones I can take, but combing them with the new alt. is what makes so many matches unbearable now.

While you can't deny there have been a lot of good updates along the way, most of which have been during the past year or so, some tweaks are welcomed.

To my mind, the different experimental settings have their appeal. It's just that unless you have a full garage at your disposal, you are usually limited to a combo you can play well. Now if all of a sudden you need a turret and hull for close combat and you are wasp/smoky how is that going to end in anything but frustration?

And I am talking from the perspective of a notorious F2Per ... I can't imagine what I'd feel if I had even spent money on a machine that is never running stable. In a manner of speaking.

Long time ago I decided to check out WOT. While it's fine and dandy and all, it was a bit too complex for my taste and I just was too lazy to learn all the tricks. Tanki was simple and it was key. So I went back to Tanki. Now I guess it's time to find another game.

Usually the Augments that come for buyers or in containers, becoming OP as you state... and AP Augments can applied this state for them (for buyers - containers)

You can see here how those AP Augments explicitly haven't no disadvantages (except some of them).. and in the left EMP for Gauss, both AP Augments and EMP are ridiculously OPs.. why? because devs want that.

Anything that disables armor is automatically broken regardless of any disadvantages, just my opinion, and the fact that so many stuff can do this now is insane. You also have Booster and Crisis, two very questionable drones.

The overdrives though have been balanced really well, I finally see them all as mostly equal in effectiveness, but damn the other stuff can get annoying.

Completely agree with you, but I mean here it even haven't one disadvantage at least, let's take in example Magnum, the disadvantage is "AP doesn't work with splash damage" Okk? where is the disadvantage, Splash damage is still active but didn't gave AP.. in real no disadvantage

And the ODs, though I hate them, but to be honest and talk about the balance.. Nope, as you returned into the game in last days, maybe you didn't noticed how Hopper overdrive is OP, in capturing flags and balls.. before hopper, Hornet was OP.. ODs are way far from balance

I have been active on the game and noticed the Hopper stuff, just not the forums.

That OD could see a good nerf on the burning, but the hull is too easy to kill that I didn't feel it was like a big balance issue.

Devs just want money by telling people "You wanna win? Buy this!"

This would work, too, but under two conditions that the game does not meet in its present form:

a) keep the game generally attractive

b) make everything available through playing for crystals, too

That way, the non-buyer would have to play the game intensively, while the buyer can have his advantage (save time, invest money), benefiting from a large number of eager F2P players who try to battle it out for crystals. It's simple browser game developer wisdom from the early 2000s . Still holds true though.

I think you have captured the essence here for many players. Developers should build on that strength which imho made for the initial success of the game in its start-up phase.
