It is fun until Brigadier

A f2p account seems to be fun until Brigadier.  Then you are put against legend88's with GS9999 and with chrisis drone and the fun stops.
Can't beat them without drones.   The good thing is I am not tied to my f2p account.  Not a dime invested.   It is time to start a new f2p account and the fun starts again.

I didn't have a lot of trouble with the highest ranks at Brigadier, but Major General hasn't been much fun so far

Unfortunately any investment isn't about real money; it's about time, and crystals saved for buying and upgrading Mk7 kits at Lieutenant General or Mk7 equipment at Marshall that will never be spent if I abandon accounts

It's tempting to start a new account just for fun, but I've got a lot invested (not real money) in my active ones

I've had at least 20 accounts, one is legend, but that is not fun anymore.   It is much more like "the old days" when you play at lower ranks.

Game does change a lot after mid levels. For me, I used thunder from beginning didn't even had to use too much supplies but now thunder is almost useless reason: players with 50% protect + 2xarmor= dmg :around 200

From Brigadier to Generalissimo, you'll have fun 50% of the time.

Half the matches will either be against Legends, the other half will be against people your level or lower.

Interesting, I think the opposite. In the mid-ranks you can get matched up against players with GS and rank far higher than yours. In the high ranks if you have over 8k GS then you will be more or less able to compete with every opponent you are matched up against.

I think you passed the limit of fun when you pass the Community Manager.

Full Mk8 garage + Juggernaut tank... and the highest access in the forums.. so after the CM end his period, I think there is no fun after he passed the limit of everything. I think they either maybe have a job in real life, or moved to another game to be with the same rank approximately.

I don't have any other accounts, but when I tested the new hulls at low rank there were a lot of kit buyers with full supplies activated... blowing recruits away.

I'd say I enjoyed my legend account waaay more than a low level one. Having more options and playing against more skilled competition is fun and you cant get matched against ppl ranked higher than you.

In my noob account I have gear score of 3000....got matched against a gismo with GS of 9980 yesterday....he went 52/1 against us

I've just done some maths for my oldest account, which will rank up to Lieutenant General soon

With another 50'000 crystals, I could afford to buy four Mk7 product kits and fully upgrade one hull + one turret + three modules to Mk7+ without needing any sales and have a GS of 9200 at Lieutenant General (if I stopped playing for three months / during upgrades)

(Smoky/Hunter Mk7+ with 50% against three not-Smoky turrets)

It would not be sensible, but it is tempting

the only thing missing may be those buyer only container only augments, (hull immu and criss drone)

of course, if you lucky, you can still get those with saved tank coins.

and you are at same level of 9999 vs buyers/

If this were before MM I’d agree but with MM, you might even be able to get a fully upgraded combo before Legend considering you’re that lucky with containers... If not, in the early Legend ranks.

Tested my Brigagier account again.  5 battles out of 6 were against legends.  Not good.  My GS is about 4400.  I can fight enemy with GS below 8000, but above

is a bit too much.  Even when most of the legends really dont know how to use their equipment....

 

Frustrating, boring, hilarious and pathetic....

Yes, as your GS inches up, you will be able to hold your own and not finish at the bottom as often. However, you will not be able to match the p2w players with battery supplies.

It has taken me 56 hours to become brigadier with this double xp period. Only one hull and turret.

Yikes.  Are you playing just for daily/weekly missions?

And only buy during sales.

You may need to concentrate on just one combo until you reach a rank that levels more slowly.
