I wanted to ask a question in a let's discuss shop topic, but after some searches, I realized that this topic doesn't exists. So, it's time to start the discussion about it. (actually, it's not my world, because i am not a buyer, but showcase is the part of the shop too, where i can buy crystal kits.

Also, i want to ask a moderator to move this topic to the game mechanism subforum.

I used to enter the shop to check if there were any free crystals to snatch or if there was a particular kit I wanted to buy. The only time I had actually bought something with real valuta was during Black Friday during which I bought the Special Bundle; other than that, I had no intentions to buy anything. 
There is no denying that crystal kits are extremely rare to find in the shop, this has been for a long time and I thought that such discussions have already been held. It would be pleasant to see a more even contribution for items available for crystals and tankoins. 

As I live in the Netherlands I can no longer access the in-game shop, so I have no recent experiences.

Well, at least, you have acces to the game. That's still better than the original situation.

I have absolutely no idea what the situation is about anymore. They may have yet to close the game; for the same they could've decided to keep the game open without a functioning shop. Either way, this is not the proper place for theorizing about this situation and I am just waiting for any further developments regarding this.

Best is to close the shop first, before closing the game, give it some time for player to digest it. Otherwise players might buy something from the shop and when the next day the game is all gone players will complain on the forum (100% guarantee).

Ok let's start with an old picture from the Shop

The Shop in the past 2012, was just a pure shop, entering the amount of crystals you want, and automatically generated the amount of required money. Though it's a very old and not modern, but missed this design of the shop, I feel you also get a hot feeling after the purchase with this interface

I disagree with you because I also use the store one way or another, for a variety of offers such as challenges and a few containers. Now you speak from your position because you can not or do not deserve to deposit money, this is understandable and I welcome your opinion, however if you look at it from the other side it is a chance to have something good or make things a little easier. The tactics in the game do not depend on supplies. However in all variants it is good that the store is offering us more and more good offers.

I think we should be able to draw the right conclusion.

1) Take into account the fact that any game in this case - "Tank Online", is created in terms of business and it is real that in the game we have a shop and various offers.

2) You may not have many counters, but I'm sure during the time this game has been going on, each of you has at least once used in shop: for crystals, gold boxes, containers, or challenges. That is, we come to the conclusion that the store, no matter how bad it is, is still usable for you.

3) At the same time it is a chance to simplify the game, on your current account. You can buy equipment, colors, the above (# 2) offers, etc. But it is intended for players who really do not really collect and can not improve their score. However gamers of course, and including me, sometimes use the store. In conclusion, I want to tell you that I understand the people who do not agree with me, I understand you well, although as I said in any game it is so. Nor do I like store-only players, this is a real inconvenience in real battles because they have no idea what to do. However in the end I still welcome the store and the new offerings as it emphasizes the diversity of the game.

What you say is quite unrelated to my comment, I'm not sure you understood it correctly.

I meant that Alternativa doesn't have to close the shop before closing the game because although annoyed the players who bought stuff right before would be unlikely to sue them

Closing the shop seems to them the current best course of action to avoid any issue with the local regulation and keep the game open. They probably need time to better understand the issue (and how it will evolve) to prepare a response (either legal or technical change in the game). I am sure they do not want to close the game and will find a solution or a compromise for these players. But every technical change in Tanki takes time so expect the shop to remain close for a long time and consequently enjoy / experience the game as F2P player

It's still possible to acces the shop with a VPN (like the one in Opera browser). Not closing the game was an understandable decision from alternativa, since they need online players. I hope you are right, and they will figurate out a solutionfor this problem.

I go into the Shop to get 100 Crystals every 6 hours.

• You can also click on the Refresh button to get another 100 Crystals.
• There is also a chance to get 1000 Crystals from time to time.

So I basically use the Shop for get some Crystals.

• I do not buy any Containers, Crystals, Product Kits, Coinboxes, Ultra Containers, ... because they are a lot of money.

I try to save Tankoins from the Challenge and Weekly Containers, to use to buy the Battle Pass (500 TKs.)

• You can also save Tankoins to get Special Offers, but I usually just save 500 for the Battle Pass.

 

(Also, I wanted to say this, but I didn't know when. But since this is the Shop and Payments Discussion, I think it is allowed. Let's see what other Helpers/Mods/Admins think of this.)

I am not a F2P player. However, I am not a P2W buyer either.

• It's because I use Gift Cards, that I earn for free, to buy in-game items in Tanki Online!
  • I have bought 30 Days of Premium 1 time, and quite a few Tankoins (820 each time I bought with Gift Cards) to use.
• I don't know if anyone wants more info. on this, so I'll leave my post until here.

During the time I was gone from this game, I bought a $20 Wal-Mart gift card thinking I was gonna use it for another game. However the game I was gonna use it for had a very weird, complicated, and inconvenient way of making the transaction.

So the gift card sat idly in my wallet for 6 months, I couldn't return it as I already scratched out the pin, and I didn't want to just throw it away.

Fortunately I came back to tanki, and that's when I figured maybe the card was still functional. Turns out it was, so I used it on my old main and bought 10 ultra containers and 20 coin boxes. The highlight opening gave me RR for smoky.

It wasn't the most graceful purchase, but now it seems that it all worked out OK in the end.

If you're gonna buy at least switch your Shop country to Brazil or Russia (preferably the former) to get everything at least three/four times cheaper.

It is allowed by the game rules btw.

How are you able to purchase something in another currency, that's not possible with the bank transactions at least.

In the next patch, switching countries will be disabled. That means no more switching to Brazil, Russia, or Mexico to pay a lower amount. :/
