Invincible Combo

OK, I know there is no such thing as an invincible combo, but in the Legend ranks, what comes the closest to invincible?  ...And sky's the limit, any turret, hull, drone, protection, and augmentations with an unlimited number of supplies.  The driver of this hypothetical dreadnought is a whale buyer and is willing to pay any amount of real cash for his dream beast to get as close to total domination as possible.  So all the dandy equipment should be able to be purchased with Crystals, Tankoins, or gotten in a Container of some sort.

 

If we get a few different combos suggested here, I'd eventually like to generate a poll to see which one gets the most votes.  (Too bad I'm not AP and could offer this dream combo to the winner...but we can all save up our lunch money  ? )

There are many possibilities, the most obvious (and annoying) is Hopper + Gauss (EMP) + Crisis.

Depends on a lot of factors. But in a simple 1v1 fight it's just a heavy hull with Defender and a relevant 50% module. For a limited time it can be Ares with Lifeguard, since it's able to shoot its BFG overdrive and follow the projectile, getting constantly healed at an insane rate. The only way to kill it while its under effect of the OD is either with Wasp/Mammoth ODs, or destroy its armour and one-shot it with Shaft twice (because of lifeguard).

Also, you did mention buyers, implying that the item can be bought with money. But the most powerful combo that exists is the Demon module with the special alteration, providing around 95% protection from all turrets with no ability to piece armour. It can't be purchased. It can still be killed with overdrives though.

FLYING HACK with crisis are defender.

It would take a superb team effort, from 8 switched on legends with 9999 g/s to stop 1 of these legal cheats dominating a ctf are rugby battle.

These are the facts, i see a flying hack with crisis......EXIT.

True that, but the Demon module is not readily available for anyone...even big buyers.  I guess I'd like to add a caveat that the equipment should be able to be purchased with Crystals, Tankoins, or gotten in a container.  God_Mode_On doesn't count since only the chosen may imbibe.

Hopper with (crisis or defender) and (emp immunity or AP immunity).

Leaves only 1 possible counter - whichever of the immunities it does not select.

 

Attacking wise... Gauss-empAugment and Titan with defender + AP-immunity.

Only real counter is itself.

Incendiary Band + Heat Immunity (especially with Crusader or Hunter) + Defender

 

Gauss EMP + Hopper + Crisis + AP/EMP/Heat Immunity

Shaft AP + Hopper + Crisis + AP/EMP/Heat Immunity

AP/EMP/Heat Immunity/Stun Immuni  hull augment is OP

EMP/AP shot augment is OP

Criss drone is OP > Defender drone is OK.

for CTF/RGB, criss speed (drone) + hopper (stun immui) is OP, even more with AP freeze

for CP, quite ok

for SEG, titan with AP immu + emp/ap direct shot is OP.

for JGR, viking + any long range shot (AP shot if deal against jgr under dome) + boost drone/criss drone is OP

I feel like this kind of topics is repeated frequently this period of time

I will divide my choices into two. Defending = EMP Gauss + Hunter + Booster, haven't seen this a lot, but I think it's very powerful in defense. Contradiction to what was in the past, (Mammoth - Freeze).

And for attacking for sure as mentioned many times above = EMP Gauss - Hopper - Crisis or Defender.

Actually, that's not "invincible" on it's own.

More like...Vulcan + Incendiary Band + Heat Immunity + Defender Drone + Titan + a full set of 50% Modules.

I use Heat immunity/Incendiary Band with my Vulcan, but since I don't have a very protective hull or drone, I tend to die long before I can charge up the heating effect. 
Or maybe I'm just a noob lol.

I can back this up. I myself have seen a player using Smoky-Hopper and he/she was fly-hacking through the Magistral Map, capping flags with no effort at all.

You want to see which combo is the most OP, easy.

Get the mods to go 8v8 CTF, one side all flying hacks, the other EMP gauss with whatever hulls they choose (except flying hack)

All players use drones of their choice.

Keep switching OP gear after every battle so one team has one OP combo against another OP combo, again drone of their choice each time.

I can guarantee the FLYING HACKS will win every battle, half the team with crisis the other half with defender drone. NO CONTEST.

Another example, Vulcan, HI-IB-DEFENDER DRONE, hulls of their choice against 8 FLYING HACK players. NO CONTEST, FLYING HACK will wipe the floor against vulcan players.

Soooooo the OP combo that is truly OP is the FLYIN HACK, AP, EMP, CRISIS, DEFENDER, take your pick on the set up. Their is not a single combo out there that can beat a FLYING HACK when it has either crisis are defender drone, especially CRISIS DRONE.

Anyone who thinks differently is either deluded, a FLYING HACK (??) player, are just plain dumb.

Probs a combination of all 3 actually.

Just played noob account, major general, vulcan-IB-HI-defender maxed out, all MK6 protections, the lowest having 2 upgrades.

Got outdone by a 3RD lieutenant, FLYING HACK thunder. Stunned me twice in the battle and returned flag. 

This little mug on a normal hull would get wiped out with ease, which is how it should be, being such a low rank.

These FLYING LEGAL CHEATS dominate battles against ranks way above them. My setup was no counter at all against them.

The FLYING HACK is the most OP update ever, followed closely by EMP gauss and the AP effect. (hornets overdrive)

OP updates = CASH. This is why they will keep rolling out these features, and why TO will never be balanced.

But so far the closest one I have seen was a Viking-Smoky + Autocannon + full 50% Eagle + AP Immunity. 

First why you gave me "Confused"! And Smoky Autocannon with Viking isn't a viable combo, Autocannon is really quick, Viking couldn't buff this quick shoots a lot. Stock Smoky is way more better than Autocannon with Viking, as the Viking will increase its shoots speed a lot. Maybe you can say Hunter or Titan instead of Viking. Confused also

I'm not getting into hacks since there are not a legal part of the game.

I use Vulcan(IB) + Hunter(HI) + Crisis/Hyperion.

It's counter appears to be Hopper(HI) + Firebird/Freeze/Gauss(EMP)/any turret(AP/EMP) + Shark(Mk8) + Defender/Crisis. The speed and dexterity of Hopper make it hard for the Vulcan turn and hit the target at closer ranges, plus the module/hull augment/drone combination turns Vulcan's fierce firestorm of hot lead into dust that barely scratches the paint. Sure, I can damage/kill others in the battle, but not when this pesky combo hunts you down in what is seems to be a personal matter and it does it from all angles. It forces me to change to another turret, usually Smoky(AC), fast enough to keep up with the movement of Hopper at almost any distance. Smoky is somewhat nullified against upgraded Dolphin modules, but it does pack a punch at all levels when there is no module used against it. I guess it is here why the devs limited everyone to only 3 modules so there will remain at least some sort of weakness and give other turrets a chance in battle since no one can have everything.

Well its situational... but for my part anyways I will say though I cant use this combo.

 

Magnum with AP? Hopper with an alt? Drone... pick one. Protects from Magnum, shaft, and rail 50%?

 

Hop up on some highground / building type area. Bombard from on high where no firebird or close range turret can ever hit you.

 

The maps are numerous. The spots are numerous. You can deal ungodly damage without retaliation.

 

Only key is loading up the od to get up there,... and then yeh.

 

Worst Ive had I believe is wolfenstein map? As defenders? Its the castle walls one, where int he centre raised ground magnum can get inside those castle wall bits and just bombard the point all day. Incredibly. Incredibly Hard. Incredibly hard to deal with. As defenders, you basically all have to evacuate in some way the point and get angles to shoo that thing from like completely different parts of map... while they score. Sure domes can help depending... but its broken for sure.

 

id rather face a gauss, or vulcan or anything else. But not this. Magnum shooting done while being up... impossible. And if you are melee you physically cant do anything against this. From anywhere. So isida for defense healing? Freezers for freezing in asl? Fires for burning? Thye actually work against your teams odds of beating this. And will they reequip... at all? They should... but try getting htem to. Try getting your whole team to equip magnum protect.

 

I rage for ... well the few minutes Im in the game. But then mentally also for days after...

 

And then also impossible combos is just hopper with most things on ctf and rugby with crisis. Yeah. Score for eternity.
