Shortcut to key bindings.

Recommended Posts

I don't own a gaming keyboard, I have an office one and I'm experiencing ghosting with default keyboard settings.
That's why I usually play with arrows, I use a,s,d to turn turret, here's the problem, when I play with hopper I need to use mouse and I need to swap key bindings from arrows to wasd to move tank, then If i want to play with normal track hull again, I need to change key bindings, again.
Make a shortcut button/s that have key bindings saved to them.

Valid

I see the problem and I agree that a key that would enable you to switch between different keyboard schemes to avoid ghosting would be very convenient. It would definitely prevent you from loosing valuable time. Even though, there might not be a wide range of people who benefit from this, it is definitely something that should be added. Not to mention that even though I have a good laptop for gaming and stuff, my keyboard still ghosts.

Oh you're lucky, you don't know how I suffered from my old Laptop with ghost keys.

Arrows is the most useful control for Tanki, yes it's true. WASD is a suitable for many games, but in Tanki Arrows are superior. In example if you fan of spamming mines in Parkour, with WASD it's hard to click "5" multiple times, because "5" key is near to WASD keys. But in Arrows controls, your left hand can easily spamming with supplies and mines and even use the OD in the same place.

My old Laptop has a ghost keys while I play with Arrows, so I forced to change my playing style to WASD. Do you know it took from me 2 months just to get accustomed, and even after this 2 months my playing level in WASD haven't reached my level in Arrows. Btw, now my Laptop didn't have the issue with Arrows, I directly returned to Arrows after that.

So this is why I said you're lucky.  You're lucky because the ghost keys are just in WASD not Arrows, a contradiction to my old Laptop.

Heyo!

If your idea is labelled as "Valid", then it means that the idea follows all rules and has potential to be implemented. The topic itself will never be archived, unless the status changes to "Completed" or "Declined". However, keep in mind that developers have very little room for new ideas, so what you suggested might be implemented years from now (or not at all). Or you may get lucky and it will be just a few weeks.

Thanks to keyboard ghosting, I had to switch entirely from arrow keys to mouse controls. I learned to adapt to mouse controls, and honestly, mouse controls are a lot better than arrow keys. I recently got a new computer and the keyboard ghosting is a lot worse than the keyboard ghosting from my old computer. Which is why I had to switch.

The only keyboard ghosting problems I have now are when I press tab when using wasd or 12345. I am unable to move if I'm holding tab. Which sucks, but it's whatever.

I do agree with you on this though, I support the idea fully. On my old computer, I had to adapt to keyboard ghosting, which wasn't too bad. I did quite well in battles, but others may experience it much worse.
