 Gauss

Introduction

Some may say Gauss is a frightening damage-dealing armageddon and some may doubt that with giggles. But first of all, you need to know that Gauss is a long-range turret with explosive shells available in two modes, in the first one you hold the firing button for a deal of massive damage.
Whereas in the second mode, you press the firing button swiftly. We might say Gauss is an advanced Thunder in a way because the effect is almost as same as Thunders, but there is a sniper mode that Thunder does not have.

History

The turret itself has been added to the game on June 7, 2019, during a special live broadcast.

Variations & Skins

At the moment there are 3 skin variations available in the game:

1. Gauss XT

Electromagnetic Salvo

Well since there is Tanki Wiki, there is no point rewriting it, let me tell you something useful, something that you might actually find relevant, something that will open your mouth with you saying: "OMG, I need that in my garage." Have you ever wondered what could it be that when you get shot by a Gauss with his high-power super shot, you always lose your supplies? No? Well, ladies and gentlemen, I present you the one and only Electromagnetic Salvo! Now you're perhaps wondering, "Well, ok Electromagnetic salvo, sounds super cool, but I don't think it is somethingspecial" Ka-chow! Salvo is a guaranteed way to make your enemies very angry at you, for always taking their supplies. Unimaginable? Well, let's say you're playing on Serpuhov, your favourite map, favourite combo, and BOOM! a gold box drops. See, it seems like a routine that you equip your speed boost and rush to find the drop zone. You see the gold drop, with all of the three supplies equipped, ready to kill anybody standing in your way, and then all of a sudden, whoosh! Your supplies are away, your supplies are away and you're standing in the middle of a battlefield absolutely vulnerable and the gold box is gone. How does that make you feel? There are two feelings you might have and two positions. One is pure happiness and malice, that is when you are in the position with Salvo. And then there is position B, in which you feel absolutely devastated and disgusted and wishing you've never pressed the play button. Believe me, I know that feeling...

Now, not to only trash talk, there is, of course, the tactical usage of this alteration. And it is pretty self-explanatory. You see two 9999 GS tankers rushing towards you hoping to see you dead and you just shoot them with your salvo and they become something, something that you can easily get rid of and go for that flag, or point, or whatever...

Well, in the end, the alteration is not as bad as you thought, right? Well, it surely depends on whether you have it or not, but with some luck, anyone can get it from the mighty Ultra Containers.

Should I buy it?

This is a question you might have since I have already told you something about Gauss. And it is, "Should I buy it?". I have a few words to say here as a player who has earned 1 386 492 experience with Gauss. It depends. If you are a long-range turret player. definitely. Now here is the thing I would recommend having before buying your Gauss:

  1. Having a sufficient amount of supplies
  2. Having an Mk-7 (20/20) hull
  3. Having a drone

If you have at least two of the three things mentioned in that must-have list, you are ready to purchase Gauss. One thing I would like to add is to get ready for being called names and targeted by others. Gauss is one of the most hated turrets, and if I am not mistaken it is actually the most hated turret. It is a mystery I have never been able to answer, but other tankers find this turret skillless, primitive, dull, easy to use, advantageous, and overpowered. You might be asking, is any of this true? To be honest, yes Gauss is overpowered (if used with an Mk7-20 hull), and it is because due to the fact that you can use it absolutely anywhere in Matchmaking, any map, any mode, any time - Gauss will never let you down!

What hull should I use it with?

Oh well, I am glad you asked. There are various options, but if we take overdrives into account, Viking is an option you should surely go with! The first thing that comes up to your mind is definitely - why? Sure, let me tell you why Viking is the best hull that can be used with Gauss. It is definitely because of the overdrive itself and of course as well because of Viking's stats, plus it can get you a ridiculous score on the leaderboard. In case you doubt anything I mentioned, here is a video that should change your mind:

Approved.

First off, welcome to the AWS - great first article! I really loved reading most of it as it included a lot of personal insight and was very well organized. On top of that, I had very few minor corrections - you have a pretty firm grip on your English and grammar, which is great. However, I would have loved to see a little more about the history of the turret as well as a few thoughts on each of the skins - pretty much adding a few words here and there as the article felt a little bit short in my opinion. But besides that, it's already a very strong first effort; with some more practice, I'm sure you'll be able to create some amazing articles!

Edits: some minor grammar/spelling mistakes.

Spoiler

I'd advise checking the article a second time to filter out any mistakes as there were quite a few various mistakes that could easily be fixed with a proofread or check before submitting. Otherwise, great work!
