today i bought 400 Ultra Containers and opened them and idk if im that unlucky or the game is broken because i didn't got one exotic item =/

Gambling in Tanki machine is a vague, what let me know if they coded like "Asem wont get an exotic item in next 50 containers" Nothing will let me know.

So my problem is, whatever containers was I don't care.. Just don't make a crucial things in the game exclusively in containers, no let me know how to buy them with a direct guaranteed way. Leave the containers for who loves to gambling.. One of the main reasons (if not only) things that restrict me from investing real money $ in the game is that important things are a pure gambling so I couldn't buy them with direct way.

The odds of getting an exotic item are approximated to 0.1%, so you will get an average of 1 exotic item for every 1000 ultra containers. Getting no exotics from 400 is quite likely.

That being said, the game does claim that there's "10x chances" for rare ultra container drops, but I can't exactly see any noticeable difference

I opened 2000 Ultra containers, you can find the results here:

so far, based on free ultra container from past several ultra weekends,

I only got following gold tire:
  * mystious red color for vulcan
  * vooleNt purple color for gauss
  * emp salvo for gauss
  * rubberized rounds for vulcan
  * heat resist for hopper hull

normal container actually give me more augment

yes, thats what i realized, normal containers are better but it was to later bcs i already bought the ultra conts lol

If everyone wants to get better drops and rewards from Containers, here's what you should do, like me:

• 1.) Check your Containers, Old Containers, UCs, ... for all the things you can "Buy" with Crystals and some Tankoins
  • The Common, Uncommon, and Rare Paints
    • The Country Paints cost 10 Tankoins each, so you should save 450 Tankoins / 2 = 225 Tankoins during 50% Sales
  • This means save all your Crystals and Tankoins that you can get in all the various ways.
  • The Tankoins can be saved gradually from your Weekly Containers and the Challenge.
    • Should take less than a Month to save up your 225 Tankoins
  • Buy Turret Augments that cost lesser than the 245k Crystal ones.
• 2.) After saving all of your currency, make a plan on what to buy during the 50% Sales, and only buy the items that come from Containers.
  • I always have a list of things in order, that I want to do during Sales.
• 3.) Only when you have bought all the items that you can get from Containers, only then should you start opening Containers.
  • Save all types of Containers until AFTER you're done buying everything.

 

If you do the above, you'll get a higher chance of getting an Exotic item.

• I have done this method quite some times, during Special Sale Events.
  • I did not get Exotic yet, but I'm getting close. The highest I got is a Legendary so far.
  • Like @Maf said above, the chances are close to zero, but this is my goal: to get Exotic soon!
• I'm saving my things right now too, and will buy the available items I can, before my openings, in the next 50% sales.

This is misleading, since we don't have official data about container probability mechanics from devs. There is no way to completely eliminate one whole category of rewards, so it could just be the case that there's a set probability for each tier, say 70%, 17%, 7%, 5%, 0.9%, 0.1% for common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary and exotic respectively. If you buy up all of the augments and paints from rare and epic tiers, you'll still be getting those tiers 5% of the time, but the rewards from these tiers will always be crystals.

Even if your goal is to specifically get only augments from the Epic tier, buying some epic tier paints might not make a difference if the game first rolls a random value to decide the tier, then rolls for the type of reward (augments/crystals/paint), and then rolls for the exact item. If the second roll is always, say, a 40%/30%/30% probability, then it doesn't matter if you have 50 epic paints left or just one, because it's still a 30% chance of getting a paint in that tier.

That being said, I personally did buy all the augments, as well as country and garage paints to get rid of them from my container rewards just to reduce the amount of disappointment from seeing blue glow and getting some useless paint, and hopefully to increase chances of more interesting rewards.

We really need the developers to release info on the exact drop rates of containers, ultra containers, and coinboxes.

Yeah, I also meant to say what you have said above.

• If we buy what we can from Containers and when we see that color of rarity we want, then after those Crystals that we get, when we get other categories (Paints, Augments, Shot Effects, ...) we will get a chance of getting something we really wanted, instead of the things we can already buy.
• Even if we have bought the items that we could get before opening, the chances of each drop will stay the same, like you have said.
  • But we'll feel more proud to get one of the items that are not available to be bought with any currency. (mostly all of the Epic and Legendary Paints can only be obtained by opening Containers)

This is why buying the available things are a good method. They are a nice confident booster. They will ensure us that we'll not get this in Containers anymore, because we already have this item, bought. (but the percent drop of the rarity is still the same.)

Yeah that seems pretty damn good. Though the 0.1% is just my personal guess. I have no official data on it.

I worked out much it would cost to buy all of the not-Epic-or-Legendary paints that I don't have (in a 50% sale) on one of my accounts, an account with 300 hours after 2.5 years (so lots of containers opened), and only has 4 football paints

Over 2.3 million crystals (plus TK for the rest of the football paints)

I don't think that is worth paying to only get 25K crystals; 10 days of premium; 10 gold boxes; 250 of every supply; 150 batteries, or Augments from Rare containers

yes, even you bought all crystal augment, it will still have purple, blue reward for crystals,

however it still helps you to get Tanki Coin only Hull augment better in purple.

check this guy who already have all stuff from container, but there are still crystal pack for each color reward.

----

however, there is still tons of animation paint and shot color to clear, better save your crystal for useful stuff unless you already have full garage.
