All members (including spectators, editors, designers, etc.) of supported and official parkour clubs can now receive support supplies and official club paint.

Before only parkourists used to receive them. This decision was made because every member is responsible for the growth and performance of a parkour club and we think all members must get something in return for it.

[FTL] FeatherLike received the Phoenix paint yesterday, 28 February 2021, for becoming an official parkour club. The club received the official status on 22 February 2021 after fulfilling the Requirements for Official Status, being the only non-official club in the English locale to do so.

Spoiler

The club's forum topic: https://en.tankiforum.com/topic/376292-ftl-featherlike/.
The club's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/TeamFeatherLike/.
Some video statistics of the club: https://i.imgur.com/fohNj8E.png.

The club fulfilled all the requirements mentioned in the Requirements for Official Status as shown below.

Activity

The parkour club was at least 1 year old (according to the club's forum topic) and was active for the last 6 months (24 weeks).

Video

The parkour club did not fail to produce at least 1 parkour-related video for more than 1 month (4 weeks) three times consecutively during the last 6 months (24 weeks).

Majority of those videos [published during the last 24 weeks] were at least 2 minutes long or consisted of at least eight parkour tricks with neat editing in QHD @60FPS (1440p60 quality) and received ratings (Likes vs. Dislikes) of 90% or above.

Parkour

The parkour club performed at least 'very good' in majority of parkour tricks or parkour-related activity they have presented in their videos during the last 6 months (24 weeks).

The club (with any number of its members) participated in at least 1 major parkour contest (those that award special paints), if organized.

Design

The parkour club had a neatly designed forum topic and YouTube channel (this includes club logo, video thumbnails, and everything else presented by the club).

Karma

The parkour club in general did not violate the Parkour Club Rules, Game Rules, EULA, and any other public guidelines.

Rule 6.3 of Parkour Club Rules has been updated for improvement.

Quote

6.3. Official parkour clubs with two three violations to the Parkour Club Rules, Game Rules, EULA, and any other public guidelines during the last 24 weeks lose the official status unless otherwise stated.

Rule 6.8 of Parkour Club Rules has been updated for improvement.

Quote

Friendly Reminder

Less than 48 hours remain for the poll to end, do not forget to submit your response before it's too late.

_

Also please make sure all members and everyone that is a part of your parkour club take part in it, the more responses we get, the more clear and fair results we can expect.

The poll ended at 17 UTC today as informed initially. We received 75 valid responses and 3 invalid responses (invalid responses were deleted and cannot be found in the results). We thank all of them for taking part in the poll.

Responses with invalid nicknames or from players below Warrant Officer 1 rank were deleted, and if a player managed to submit multiple responses, all of their responses except the latest one were deleted (these were mentioned in the poll).

The results can be found here or in the spoiler below.

A new limit will soon be set on the number of members receiving official parkour club paints (currently Phoenix/Aero) from official parkour clubs of this locale. The limit is 14, meaning 14 members of one official parkour club can receive that club's official parkour club paint, which is currently Phoenix or Aero.

Spoiler

How did we decide the number for this limit?

The first question of the poll (https://forms.gle/9uiYuZHhJkZmsSm17) asks "How should we give the official parkour club paints (Phoenix, Aero) to the members of the official parkour clubs in order to keep them rare and valuable?" and the answer is "Set a limit on the number of members receiving it.". The answer tells us the majority of the voters want us to keep a limit, so we are having a limit. (but we don't know what the limit should be)

And the second question of the poll asks "Do you think the official parkour club paints (Phoenix, Aero) are currently rare and valuable?" and the answer is "Yes, they are currently rare and valuable.". The answer tells us the majority of the voters think the official parkour club paints (Phoenix AND Aero because "paints" and "they" are in plural) are rare and valuable in the game but it does not tell us what to do. However, now we know that they think they are rare and valuable, so we do not have to set up a small and/or uncomfortable number as the limit (such as 10, etc.). We can also see that the answer to the second question shows they think the number of Phoenix AND Aero that was available in the game during the poll (March 27 to April 1) is rare and valuable because the question mentions "currently". If we consider this point to determine what number we should set for the limit, then we should maintain that total number of Phoenix AND Aero that was available in the game during the poll (March 27 to April 1). According to our data, from the time we published the poll on March 27 to March 30, we had a total of 53 players with Phoenix AND Aero, and from March 30 to April 1 (until the poll results were announced on April 1) we had 52 players with Phoenix AND Aero. Since 53 was the value for the majority of those days, we forget 52, and the average value of 53 for 3 clubs is 17.6 something.

But 17.6 something is a decimal number (and 17 itself as a limit doesn't feel good to me), we don't have to go for a small number, so the closest value to 53 whose average is near to 17 and not smaller than 17 is 18 and rounding 17.6 something is 18. This means the limit can be 18. But it seems like it is not best to decide the number for the limit like this since there is a chance we will have to go for a number that is uncomfortable and limiting the creativity, etc. of parkour and parkour clubs (such as 10, etc.) if the average comes to be a small number or the average comes to be a decimal number (which isn't perfect because we have to round it or find an average close to it that isn't a decimal number). Isn't it? If you think no, let me know, otherwise I would assume you agree with me. So it looks like we have to decide this in a different way. So we made polls asking only official parkour club leaders to vote and choose a number for the limit (only official parkour club leaders because this decision mainly concerns them and their clubs, asking others may make the result biased). There were 3 leaders of official parkour clubs at that time, Intellect, Dynasty, and Adab (myself). We made 2 polls and the result was 1 vote for 12 and 1 vote for 14 as the number for the limit, and we selected 14. I was the one managing those polls, so I did not vote. We selected 14 because if I vote, I would vote for 14, so the majority here wants 14, and even if I do not vote, there is no need to go for a small number because we saw from the public poll (https://forms.gle/9uiYuZHhJkZmsSm17) that the majority of the players think the official parkour club paints ARE rare and valuable. Hence, we decided to use 14 as the number for the limit.

Why are we setting this limit?

We received concerns regarding the rarity and value of official parkour club paints these days, so we published a poll (https://forms.gle/9uiYuZHhJkZmsSm17) asking players to help us find a suitable solution to the issue (https://en.tankiforum.com/topic/390932-parkour-club-announcements/?do=findComment&comment=6890558). The first question of the poll asks "How should we give the official parkour club paints (Phoenix, Aero) to the members of the official parkour clubs in order to keep them rare and valuable?" and the answer is "Set a limit on the number of members receiving it.". The answer tells us the majority of the voters want us to keep a limit, so we are having a limit.

When will we start using the limit?

The limit will become effective soon in the coming days and announced here.

Some changes were just made to Parkour Club Rules today as shown below. These changes set "14" as the limit on the number of members of official parkour clubs allowed to receive official parkour club paints (currently Phoenix/Aero) and allow remaining members to stay in the club without the paint (any player the leader adds as a member used to get the paint previously).

Rule 6.2 updated.

Spoiler

6.2. Official parkour clubs receive an official parkour club paint for all its members.

New rule 6.2.3. added.

Spoiler

6.2.3. A total of 14 members can receive the official parkour club paint.

Spoiler

What if an official parkour club has more than 14 members with their official parkour club paint (Phoenix/Aero)?

Leaders of such official parkour clubs have 3 days (72 hours) from the time this post was posted to request the removal of the official parkour club paint from their members and let only 14 members keep the paint. If they do not request, the paint will be removed from all recently added new members until only 14 members have the paint in the club after the duration.

Can an official parkour club now keep more than 14 members but without giving their official parkour club paint (Phoenix/Aero) to the remaining members?

Yes, we updated rule 6.2 (as mentioned above) to allow it.

1 valid video = 1500 parkour club support supplies given together at once.

We conducted a poll with the leaders of the current official and supported parkour clubs (TFP, FTH, ToD, FTL), and we also considered words from some players. And using this information we decided to provide parkour club support supplies to the supported clubs for every single valid video instead of giving the supplies the way we did before, that is, giving 300 of them each week for 4 weeks per video even if a club makes more than 1 video within that duration. And as you see, we have also increased the amount of supplies to 1500, 300 more now. Clubs were able to get a total of 1200 supplies every 4 weeks before. Also, maybe this should encourage supported parkour clubs to make more videos within less time, such as more than 1 video within 4 weeks. More videos means more supplies. Anyway, we hope you like this decision. You can let us know what you think here.

Parkour Club Rules Update
The Parkour Club Rules has been updated.

Now official parkour clubs should post at least one new video every 12 weeks instead of 6 weeks. It can be any parkour video related to this game of any length. This was done after all the leaders of the current official parkour clubs (TFP, FTH, FTL, ToD) unanimously agreed to change the previously given 6 weeks.

If you think something should be changed or improved, please comment here.

According to the Parkour Club Support forum topic, to earn support for your club you need to actively produce high quality parkour videos with good tricks, recording and editing, and [FoG] Flight of Gravity has fulfilled all that, and so today they have achieved the Parkour Club Support! As per the procedure, they can get supplies as the first form of support, spectator accounts may be given after some time as they are given only to clubs that prove a lot more skill, dedication and long lasting activity.

Congratulations to them! ?

Clarification regarding rule 1.6 of the Parkour Club Rules:
Although rule 1.6 of the Parkour Club Rules (which states "1.6. Players are allowed to join multiple parkour clubs.") does not state that the leaders of parkour clubs cannot disallow their members from joining one or more parkour clubs or that the leaders of parkour clubs cannot reject players that are already in one or more parkour clubs from joining their parkour club, it seems that the rule means it, so please understand that the rule was never supposed to mean that the leaders of parkour clubs cannot disallow their members from joining one or more parkour clubs or that the leaders of parkour clubs cannot reject players that are already in one or more parkour clubs from joining their parkour club, the rule was instead supposed to mean that the rule allows players to join multiple parkour clubs while at the same time it is up to the leaders of parkour clubs to allow or not allow their members from joining one or more parkour clubs and it is up to the leaders of parkour clubs to reject or not reject players that are already in one or more parkour clubs from joining their parkour club. We never, because of the rule or because of any reason, forbade anyone to or told to anyone that they can't disallow their members from joining one or more parkour clubs or that they can't reject players that are already in one or more parkour clubs from joining their parkour club. It is up to the leaders of parkour clubs to allow or not allow their members from joining one or more parkour clubs. And it was and it still is up to the leaders of parkour clubs to accept or not accept players that are already in one or more parkour clubs from joining their parkour club. I felt like some people don't know about this so I decided to clarify this here. Soon we will probably have an improved version of the rule.

Because the game was unavailable for 11 days (from November 23 to December 4), we have now given 11 days of extra time to all official parkour clubs in addition to the 12 weeks given by rule 6.6 of the Parkour Club Rules. This means an official parkour club will be considered to have violated rule 6.6 of the Parkour Club Rules only if the club doesn't produce a new Tanki parkour related video for 12 weeks + 11 days (i.e., for 95 days) from the date they posted their latest Tanki parkour related video. This is only for one new Tanki parkour related video of each official parkour club, after they produce that, they will have the usual 12 weeks (84 days) without the 11 days to produce new Tanki parkour related videos.
