Hoppers

During events where there are increased gold drop rates, can you please remove hopper from the garage.  It makes the game no fun.  For instance, last year, mammoth's od was invulnerable and some tweaks were added.  Please do the same to hopper.  Everyone is getting annoyed of all the hoppers in battles.

Hopper is a part of the game, so it cannot be removed during events.

Chicken nugget, he asked for it to be nerfed, not to be removed. Mammoths od got nerfed because it was broken during events.

Try defeating the Hoppers you see heading for the Gold Boxes.

They are light Hulls, and can be defeated with an average of 3 shots.

 

As you said of Mammoth getting changes, we'll see some changes of Hopper's mechanics as we proceed forward.

Until then, we should wait and use the resources/techniques/skills we have now to win against Hoppers.

Please stop this 3-shot non-sense.

No Hopper heading to the gold (or trying to cap) is undefended.  The average player is not brining them down with 3 shots, unless it's some kind of snipe or salvo - in that case you're not gonna have time for 3 shots.

He also asked for it to be "removed from the garage" during special events.  That's way more than a "nerf".  (I agree it needs to be nerfed)

If the Hopper user has Double Armor equipped, you can simply use Double Damage, and cancel out that defense.

I have seen that mostly all Hopper users have at most, Double Armor equipped while going for the gold.

 

This gives us an average 3 shots to defeat Hoppers even with DA.

All turrets do around 700 damage. (my Thunder does 880 base)

With 3 shots, it's 2100 damage. Enough to destroy a 2000 HP light Hull Hopper.

 

For Hoppers with DA and Defender, we'll just have to try our best to defeat them, but at least there aren't that many of these players.

So we should have a somewhat higher chance by destroying the DA Hoppers with our DD.

LOL - they ALL have Defender or Crisis.

Or maybe just remove overdrives on event maps, problem solved xd

@Spy But even then you'll still say declined because its apart of the game

Ah yes, the hopper's gonna wait for you to shoot it 3 times. It totally wont hide or use its od or straight up attack you. Nah it'll just be patient.

We can attack the Hopper while:

  • we're at a distance, and the Hopper is passing by
  • it is at a corner, and we use our splash damage if able
  • it is attacking someone else, and we have an opening
  • it is heading for the Gold Box drop zone
  • stunning it with Hunter
  • going to the enemy zone and using Titan's Dome to help us while attacking
  • ... many other possibilities

At other times, we'll be with Hoppers one-to-one, where we need to try our best in defeating it with its Overdrive.

It's simply a matter of skill, and trying to do what we can to win, with our own combinations.

Thats like assuming their turret is either Firebird, Isida or Freeze. What if they have railgun, gauss, shaft, smoky, magnum. What if they have an alteration on medium range turrets which increase their range. You arent taking a lot of things in. You can't be generic and expect for those things to happen in a real game.

I agree with what you have said.

But in my previous post, it says there are "many other possibilities..."

So I meant that we can have different scenarios of what to do, including what you have explained above.

 

Also, my points apply with turrets like Railgun, Gauss, ... too.

They can be attacking others, passing by, trying to go for the gold, ... We can shoot them while they are doing their objectives, not noticing us in the process too much.

The ones who assumes that Hopper is balanced because it's a weak with 2000hp.. Ok but it's the same hp of Hornet/Wasp, but because it have more advantages than Hornet we criticize it... 1- OP OD  2- inability to flip  3- stuck in the walls  4- Ignore tanks hack

I didn't finish reading the stupid Youtube comments opinions to see also the same horrible opinions in the forum.. I predict a high intelligence level when I read people's opinions here

If you're doing massive damage like your "3 shot" technique. They wont just pass by and not notice you.
