Future of players with Maxed out accounts?

Recommended Posts

Been playing this game for last 4 years and I've got the stuffs Mk8 which I needed. The only motivation for me to play the game now is those challenge paints, which do get boring after sometime because its those same set of missions you do everything, and its very easy to finish them with Mk8 equipment. Bullying Non buyers in battle isn't much fun since they end up abusing us because i bully them too much with my Railgun EMP augment .  So now my question here is what should one do once they've got what they achieved. This game is about 12 years old soon and for players who are playing since starting, i'm sure they are bored now or just saving their accounts for their grandchildren .
Things I already know -

  • Try Esports, aim for special paints and equipment ? Nope. Too much skills required for that :x Also time zone issues.
  • Apply for TO helper and contribute? ( Sure, if they let me ) My bad karma screams in the background
  • Try Parkour tricks and aim for Phoenix paint? Nope. HTML 5 physics is too amazing for me. I can barely parkour with hopper ricochet.
  • Hunt down hoppers in matchmaking? Sure. Already on my way.

In short, I'm a noob to try good stuffs, but not too much noob.?

Suggest me what we noob players with maxed out account ( Maxed in terms of what we need , Don't look at my Mechanic drone 1/20
Developers shall bring out some updates to make the game more interesting for noobs like us....

Come up with challenges, experiment with new equipment. Find new ways to play the game, try new strategies. Then there's always various updates, which you can use as an opportunity to test changes and perhaps try something fun with the items that got added/changed. But there's no reason to force yourself to continue playing if you no longer see any point.

When one has spent money in a game for few years, its not easy to stop playing :/

I'm gonna leave Tanki soon for a while and in that days I'm working on Leaving Topic, So Good Luck with your game experience.

(In that days I'm available at the Forum only cuz I find here lovely people, But if I want to make a real break I have to stop my surfing at the Froum tho.

OMG bro my case is just like the same as you, I also spent a lot of money and played since 2012 and I also get rejected many times and also can't do parkour in HTML5, and also don't have the require skills in order to take part on the eSports....

So that's why I've decided to leave (btw I write it While sad music is playing in the background ?)

Thanks for that Topic and I hope for better days <3.

I've been playing it for longer (took a break in between) but I have never had the sense of motivation in it, for example, to achieve the last rank or max out stuff. I liked this game just because it was team-based, strategic, blue-vs-red-type. That's it. There is no goal in this game. You play for fun. Each battle is a challenge.

in MM, you barely get to play as team, all you see if Hoppers hiding in corner with overdrive just to catch gold or people dropping wasp bombs at bad timings just to finish their Overdrive mission or some hopper crisis running around to capture flags. This isn't a strategy based game... Its  only when you play pro battles with friends.

I'm done with the game, now i'm only trying to gain fame and get people to know, reason why I've started Quirky Events, where we almost everyday join call on discord and then click together to get in same battle in MM and bully each other, or during event modes trying to save black golds. The game is only fun if you have someone to play and connect with. If you're lonely, you're more likely to end up getting depressed.

For my own maxed account I can say that besides the basic fun of playing, the game used to offer me two motivations to play on: Nurturing my account statistics, and enjoying to do battle with friends. Regrettably, the parameter change of September 2020 pretty much destroyed the former, as everything becomes heavily distorted, and concerning the prominently touted efficiency ratio (or the ratio of crystals earned in battle versus experience earned in battle in general) there is no way for an active player to compete with inactive players. So when I am currently mulling once more to leave the game for good, the main reason is what the parameter change of September 2020 does to account statistics.

They should release a new turret. That'll bring lots of new content to maxed players.

With a new turret comes the following benefits for maxed players:

  • New alterations
  • New protection modules
  • New strategies to try out
  • New ways to play the game and parkour and etc

I personally think the game becomes more interesting with maxed-out equipment because you no longer have to worry about being matched against players with better equipment than you.

You need some things to do in the game?

To make your Tanki experience better, you can participate in Tanki Contests, and show your tech./physical skills.

I did many Contests in the past, and doing these Contests made me like Tanki even more!

You can check the out the Wiki and get knowledge of different items of the game, including checking out different Guides of Maps, Weapons, Hulls, and skills/tactics.

https://en.tankiwiki.com/Tanki_Online_Wiki

Also, like others have said above, if your bored with playing with the same equipment, you can use different combinations, experiment with different Augments, add to your collection of Paints, do Forum activities like Forum games, fun discussions, Events, etc.

That's called sunk cost fallacy — often a difficult thing to overcome, but never impossible ?

For me this game is a fun social experiment - how much can you abuse and neglect your customers before you are dead in the water.  By my own calculations Tanki should have gone bankrupt long time ago. Well, it's still breathing ? So I keep watching...

New alterations, New protections modules, require money. So you're telling me I should just keep spending and spending?

Players with maxed out don't actually have a good thing to do, we have to look for ways to keep us engaged.

Yes, I agree. We get to try out new combinations everyday; for example, yesterday I tried out the Ricochet Crusader combination in battle after a friend recommended it to me and found out that it's actually a nice combo! Then I experimented further and found out that Adrenaline Isida + crusader is an excellent combo for the CP mode. I love finding such new combos in this game. This is probably why I do not get bored playing it.

Well Sir like I said Future of players with "maxed out" accounts, Your account isn't even legend rank.. you see.. Long way to go. Once you reach the maxed out level then you will realise, trying new combos ain't actually fun

I was assuming since you maxed out, you would've stockpiled a bunch of crystals for a period of time....

And thus, when a new turret come out, you'd be able to instantly buy it and/or it's alterations and protection modules cause you saved up thousands of crystals during the time when nothing new was released and you bought everything you wanted to buy.

Most of my equipment is already at mk7-10. My most upgraded drone - Driver - is at level 17.  I will probably get maxed-out garage by the end of this year. Still, I find it very fun to use new combinations such as - the one I am currently using - Adrenaline Augmented Isida + Crusader in CTF, RGB and CP modes with either the sprinter drone or the engineer drone. Once I get bored with a new combo I tend to explore other ones. Another example - last month I tried out Hornet + Cyclone Augmented Striker in the siege mode. It worked brilliantly...until I ended up dying too much due to IB vulcuns and one-shots. That's when I moved on to another combo.

Hence, I doubt that the game would become boring after achieving 9999GS at the end of this year. I will keep shifting between new combos just as I am currently doing. This would keep the game fun for me.

I ain't asking about how to have fun and what to do, my point is, Players with maxed out don't actually have a thing to do.
Like if you are low rank, you know you have to rank.
If you don't have Mk8 equipment, you know you need to play and upgrade it. I'm asking what after you have achieved all that?

Try different equipment? I'm sure I made them Mk8 after testing them out and knowing they are good enough.

You're telling me to be like Akame, whenever something new comes out, go upgrade it quickly and flex it and then get trolled by people for being " Buyer " ?
Also the augments ain't for crystals. They are in ultra containers.

Try play pro battles, they are good in my opinion. Or try real parkour but its impossible because flash end and till they dont do something about html physics.

Thats what I do now.... Made Quirky Events , having about 770 people in server and we all go call and play pro battles at around 9-12 UTC. We get about 30-40 people in call at a time so thats actually fun.

That is a good question, and since I experience the same thing I wouldn't know so if I find something interesting here I might do it ?

Totally is easy, just find a better game

Try out crusader booster adrenaline some time soon against juggernauts, but ensure you get that to mk7+ first.

Isida Mammoth Crisis is fun to play with.

You can be like me, stick to only doing daily missions and do some event missions, whilst playing other games/watching movies and shows.

Don't play CTF/ASL attack/RGB, stick to CP's and maybe SGE/TJR. That way hoppers are minimal and less advantaged.

Personally I never play pro battles anymore. Last time I truly played a 999 min Poly CP was in like 2015/2016 or so.

I just look at the updates and test out changes including theory and practical use of a variety of combos and then recommend to other people and showcase some items.

The endgame in Tanki is to investigate, demonstrate and educate. This includes looking at updates constructively before the release, thinking of past events, possible changes, and creating suggestions and ideas.

You misinterpreted. I am not suggesting you to just try different equipment - You have probably immense experience with each turret and hull in the game. Thus, you might be accustomed to using your preferred combos for particular turrets/hulls. For example, perhaps you prefer the Thunder - Viking combo; now, you might not like thunder with any other hull than viking. Hence you might not have used a combo such as Thunder + Crusader in battle much.

I am suggesting you to try out new combinations (I am talking - radically new combinations). Ever try using cryo smoky with hunter and saboteur in rugby? Striker + hopper in CP? Smoky + wasp in CP, TDM or siege?

I often experiment with such weird combos - sometimes they surprise me with their effectiveness.
I often get many kills with my crusader-Isida combo and I also end up capturing a few goals. I explored this combo during the time we got hot sales for augments and my friend ( @Akame ) suggested to try out the adrenaline augment. Turns out, this augment also helps boost crusader Icicle damage and also boosts Isida's damage as well as healing. However, at first I didn't recognize this potential and used it with hunter. Then one day, I used it with crusader and since I love this combo very much.

I must agree. I tried Hammer(Slugger)+Hopper+Booster in event mode the other day. I felt that it was one of the most awesome combos. I have Mk4 Hammer which is practically useless in my rank. Booster really helped my Hammer compensate for the low damage. Hopper's maneuverability-just awesome for a turret like Hammer. It was really fun.

Well, for people with maxed out accounts there are a lot more to do. Tanki Online is not a game like Angry Birds to get completed once the dude has everything. I have played battles at high ranks with equal equipment back in 2011-2014 and back then itself, it was good. Now that there are a lot more stuff, they give rise to a lot more strategies and complicate the gameplay, making it even better. Booster, which I purchased a few days back, is the first drone I used in Tanki. I feel that it is a great one. Well, it does have its downsides but for me it is awesome. I never used any drone in Tanki for a considerable time since I rejoined the community(back in 2011 there existed no drones so I was kinda really excited to use one).

Contrary to your belief there are a lot of stuff to do. Such as

  1. Become a helper and contribute to the community.
  2. Enter esports and enjoy premium clan battles.
  3. Become a youtuber.
  4. Participate in events. For instance Helpers vs Players, Admins vs Players...
  5. Trying parkour.

Well I am not asking you to become one of them. I am just trying to tell that there is a lot to do.
