youtube has a lot of really nice tracks if you go deep into it, you might find a lot of independent artists and channels that are responsible for uploading an artist's old or recent works, most artists are okay with that as they are really old tracks or they had switched their style

soundcloud is for independent artists, you will find a lot of really nice tracks but sadly its hard to specifically search for certain music genres (some users make tracklists about a certain genre but they end up being the opposite lol or not even close to the genre you're looking for), they should give us an advanced search option lol

bandcamp is also for independent artists and labels as well if you liked a certain style, same goes for bleep

To be honest, YouTube Music is a bad service if you don't have a premium account. The main reason starts at the mobile app, You CAN'T listen to music in background (Which is the most important parameter) if you want, you're full in ads and also it's almost impossible to find the full Albums of many great artists. Yes I know that you can download an APK Version on Telegram, but most of the users will not do that.

Which actually brings us to Spotify:

Spotify desinged especially for music, it contains many podcasts and also contains the full albums of any artist that you will search for....

Spotify's home page looks good and you can download a special App designed especially for Mac, Windows users. Since I started using it, it doesn't contain a lot of ads like I'd when I used to listen my songs in YT Music.

Benefits (Spotfiy):

  • Does not contain many ads
  • Special app designed for PC
  • Listening in the background
  • Full Albums of any artist you will looking for

Well that's my opinion about this two services, I like YouTube a lot, but now when it comes to Music, because we're on 2021 and YouTube doesn't must to be the main Music service. I haven't tried any other music service except for that, and I was excepted for more from Google.

I mostly use Spotify. There's a pretty large collection of music, and it's overall a pretty organized site which I appreciate. What's also nice about Spotify is that I was able to make a last.fm account and connect it to Spotify so I can see some pretty interesting insights on what I listen to. (For example, which artist I listen to the most, how many songs I listen to per day on average)

I also use SoundCloud, but not nearly as often as Spotify.

Lol you're right, but there is any different between Spotify or any other service and Tidal, when it comes to hear the song, do you feel any special change on the sound???

(I'm just curious ?)

My main problem with most of the apps is that I cannot find many of the songs I like. Hence I use 2 apps right now - Soundcloud and iTube (a.k.a BG Player)

iTube is by far the best app you can use if you have an android device - Ads appear maybe once a day and you can skip them but re opening the app. You can listen to music in the background and the best thing about it so that you have every single video from YouTube in this app. Also, every song you listen to is being saved automatically which means you can listen to it even without internet connection.
