Howdy folks  Hope y'all doing great!

Let's spice up the week with a little riddle/challenge from the cyberland, 'cuz who doesn't love that!
Simply put, I recieved an exotic aesthetic promo code from the TankiSport2021 LiveStream which someone else can make better use of.

Here it is (at least the first third of it). You see I only have two thumbs left as I type out this post with my other fingers. That's simply what the computer spit out, when I gave it my final count.

I'll send over the remaining bit of promocode to the first person who decodes the answer correctly in the comments. You'll know if you got it right ;) I'll be stoked If @RIDDLER_8 gets it!

If no one is able to guess it, I'll designate the winner randomly from all participants in this thread and post the solution after 7:00 AM, March 28th, UTC

So since this is officially my gift shop thread now (speaking of which we have a limited edition artifact soon to go up for sale, more details at the end) I'll put the solution to the original challenge in spoiler @mjmj5558. So grab some popcorn 'cuz that's probably about the only exciting aspect of what's to follow

In order to successfully decode the message above, you have to first tolerate my failed attempt at poetry (it was unintended ) and realize that I could only count in binary (with my two thumbs) at the moment I was constructing this challenge. So with that in mind, a little math, and some computer encoding knowledge, we're well on our way to never mistake gæ?Ⴆl̷ïe̾∂ looking text with some form of computer virus

To be fair, never open files from unknown sources because a vulnerability in the program attempting to interpret data stored in the file can cause it to execute malcious instructions instead. Because, as we'll see in a bit, to a computer, everything including actions you perform (instructions) and data stored is just numbers!

A TALE OF 2 BASES

When I say I could only count in binary (base-2), it means that I'm only capable of using two abstract symbols to quantify things. Whether it be 0 and 1 or  and  or  and . So if I assign  to mean zero things, and  to refer to one thing, I can represent 13 as 1101 or  in base-2! This is because all these representaions quantify the same number of things, albeit different bases. We can clearly see that, if convert all these representation to a common base, base-10 in the following case (note the subscript indicates base or radix number):
13₁₀ = 1•10¹ + 3•10⁰ = 10 + 3•1 = 13₁₀

1101₂ = 1•2³ + 1•2² + 0•2¹ + 1•2⁰ = 1•8 + 1•4 + 0•2 + 1•1 = 13₁₀

 = •2³ + •2² + •2¹ + •2⁰ = 1•8 + 1•4 + 0•2 + 1•1 = 13₁₀

Lastly, in addition to decimal or binary, you'll often see numbers represented in base-16, also known as hexadecimal. Here we have total of 16 elementary symbols ranging from 0,1,2,...,9,A,B,...,F. Where A means ten things, B means eleven things, and so on. So the number F4BA₁₆ = F•16³ + 4•16² + B•16¹ + A•16⁰ = 244186₁₀ = 1111010010111010₂

DIGITAL PARADISE

Now the ultimate goal of information processing is to be able to store and manipulate data. And the best way to represent data or information is through numbers. Computers are excellent at this task but, as many of you may already know, they are only capable of thinking in binary. Simply because it easier to program a circuit to understand two states (or symbols) for representing underlying data. In essence, every bit of digital interaction you have in your life is simply a number stored, interpreted, and manipulated a certain way. In the case of digital text, specifically an excerpt from the english language, the letters are encoded into binary numbers using the ASCII standard. It's just a table saying if you read number 71₁₀ or 1000111₂ interpret it as the letter G, or if the user types letter Z store it as number 90₁₀ or 1011010₂. UTF-8 extends this standard by incorporating many more characters, including alphabets from countless other languages.

ARE WE THERE YET!?

Finally we are ready to answer what the myterious blob of text  linked in the challenge means. You guessed it, simplest interpretation of the text would be using the ASCII standard to decode it as 268FF517EAF220034E5B₁₆. While this number somewhat resembles the random alphanumeric characteristic of a promocode, by no means does it look like first third part of it. If you have seen promocodes before, you'll know it begins with TNK00-00000, with the last three quintuples resembling the form SU93B-8QJN1-Y8SPL. In fact, if you have paid ultra-close attention, you'll notice that promocodes seem to contain symbols ranging from 0,1,...,9,A,B,...,Z! This gives us a total of 10 + 26 = 36 symbols. In other words, base-36 representation of a number  All hail almighty for we hast foundth the answer to life  You can see the final solution in the image below

I have to admit, in hindsight of writing down the explanation, it was considerably more difficult that I had imagined in my mind
