Well also, since they have set a precedent of allowing players to play F2P by now - and some players have literally spent thousands of hours on their accounts by this point, people have invested a huge amount of time in their accounts even if they haven't spent real money on the game. Tanki has benefitted from that in some way in terms of their activity - for instance helping to keep queue times low and yes, providing other players for buyers to play against.

Although ultimately yes, they do need either buyers or ad revenue - but F2P'ers are useful for sure.

the thing is stun effect is never so useful till now, means you sure have to counter one of 4 OP effect, Burning/EMP/Stun/AP, which mostly likely very hard to get a flag nowadays, even with Defender drone/Lifeguard drone

I always use stun immunity in most games regardless, I'm used to facing the rest, EMP means nothing, it can eat my 50% gauss prot and give me a free supply reset. Ap i like to fight off, it makes it more fun, same with freeze and burning. But I dislike getting stunned.

This is going to be very annoying for us tankers, but interesting for developers.

Let's see what they will be doing to balance Smoky with Stun as well as other Turrets with Stun as we proceed.

I hope to get Stun Immunity if we get more Augments like this.

Umm so Tanki have a favor and grace on us because they made the game available for free for us? They're our dad or mother to have a favor on us? If this is your opinion it's only applied on you.

No game nor Tanki have a favor on us, it's a company and every single step they do is completely calculated to guarantee them a more profit in the future. So nothing is a favor from them, except if you want to consider.

By the way for me, if they made me choose to pay 100$ and get advantages over other players, or pay 100$ to play in a completely balanced game.. I will choose to play in a completely balanced game. If Tanki was paid game, I will pay.. if the game will be balanced.    Also why the buyers paying? Because they want an advantage over the other players, if there was no F2P the game wont continue because Buyer vs Buyer is not a pleasant thing.

I hope they to remove Stun concept from the game completely.. It's disgusting how buyers are now can stop you from playing, so no chance to fight back. Which is completely destroying of the skills and approving that there is no-skills required to win. Or approving that whatever you were skilled no chance for you to beat the buyers.. Which is a really dangerous thing for the game if it get approved !

well stun has been around long since the od for hunter came to existence lol. But stun augments are very annoying.

Well there are costs to develop and update the game for staff salaries/company offices, and also costs to maintain servers and (if they choose to) for advertising etc. So it costs money to make and to maintain the game, and for us as players I assume there is some cost to handle larger player numbers on the servers.

So yes, it is a privilege to be able to play for free - although many games work on this basis nowadays, because they make money from microtransactions. I myself am a F2P player for personal reasons, though I don't like to use something I'm not paying for usually - I would usually want to pay something towards a game or service I'm using if I can.

For sure Tanki gets a benefit from F2P players, but they do rely on buyers (or at least ad revenue) or else the game can't continue to run, so we have to accept they must make some effort to achieve profit. But there is no need to do that at the expense of game balance, through pay-to-win features or worst of all through underhand means such as taking something away that people have worked towards and only giving the solution to heavy buyers (i.e. the new critical hit update where modules become useless against critical damage, and only heavy buyers are able to get the solution, if they can afford enough Ultras to get the new module).

I'm not against them trying to earn the revenue they need, but treating the player base with respect by taking good feedback on on-board for balance changes, and not trying to earn money through hugely imbalanced short-term advantages for heavy buyers - or other underhand means - while caring little for game balance, is what they should be doing. And they seem to have been doing plenty of the opposite in the last 2 years or so.

I agree with everything you said except that they have a favor on us or they have been generous for us.. No as I said it's a company and every single thing is calculated precisely to guarantee them a money, and I don't blame them for this as every company is working in its profit.. But also they don't have a favor on us, which is a common sense honestly.

The only ones who have a favor on you is your parents mother and father..

F2P players have the right for a good environment and a good game to play, because if the fun goes.. We wont complete playing assuming that the company have the right, no we play till the fun go away.. Which is really common sense, and this is why we blame the game for that.. It's not a one who have gave you in the street 10$ for no reason and you ask him for more, Nope.. Online games are a different thing.   Oh and there are many games who make a better balance than Tanki, so Tanki must be competitive.

One example of how the devs say they listen to players feedback.

1 player complained that a hull was a bit noisy, ( could have been the overdrive ) so the devs done a usain bolt on it and solved the noisy hull problem, and then said this was them listening and acting on players concerns. Now you have got to remember that a overly noisy hull is a major problem for game balance, hence the devs swift action on this game breaking issue.

TO in a nutshell............OP and P2W.

I think tanki online has totally lost it , especially with overdrives .

Imagine what's the next overdrive they gonna create . Who knows what tanki online is thinking.

They have thrown "competitive" out of the window  in the last 2 years.  Whenever someone gave them constructive ideas and opinions on the game updates, they would tell you, "Tanki is a 12-year-old game.  It is natural that it's dying."
