sometimes i like to listen to music in the background when im playing, and some other times i like listening to the game's music and sound effects, but dragging the volume bars every time i wanna turn it on or off is a pain , there should be a checkbox to quickly mute everything and quickly restore everything to the previous settings, just to save time and effort, thanks.

There is a "master volume" slider, which allows you to mute all sound. It's not a single button, but it does solve the issue you're describing.
