We keep modernizing the equipment!
With the server restart on April 23rd, the new «Striker Ultra» will appear in the game.

 

Engineers from the Tanki Design Bureau have done some impressive work. The turret has received a powerful and modern appearance, recoil animation, and smoke effect after a rocket launch.

An «Ultra» skin of the powerful anti-tank missile system highlights the seriousness of its owner's intentions. Advanced target guidance and tracking systems were used to develop it, so this rocket launcher can destroy any tank instantly.

 

You can get the updated version of Striker from Ultra Containers which will appear in the game during the Ultra Weekend, from April 23rd till April 25th.

I agree. Striker doesn't need buffing.

I'm getting sick of my favorite turrets being mistreated in this way.

I'm glad to see Striker gets a new skin, hopefully more turrets and hulls will get new skins as well like Wasp and Smoky!

Patch notes:

  • Striker reload time has been decreased from 2.2s to 1.7s and from 2.0s to 1.6s. 

  • Striker now deals twice as much damage on critical shots than on normal shots.

I have three problems with this:

  1. Smoky was supposed to be special cause of it's critical hit. Without it having a unique feature, it's literally just an alteration of the other turrets and it's therefore not it's own thing.
  2. Striker was honestly very balanced. It didn't need a buff - AT ALL. Players only complain because it was hard to use. But once you could learn, than a Striker even before this buff was already far superior to it's cousin, Thunder, in terms of overall damage per second and total damage output.
  3. Why don't you guys NERF Gauss, Railgun, Magnum, Shaft, and Isida instead??????????
    1. I'd rather have them get nerfed than having balanced turrets get buffed to compete against the overpowered turrets.
      1. It would make balance less confusing.
      2. Turrets that still aren't buffed (like Freeze and Firebird and Twins) will suffer even more cause of more overpowered threats they have now.
      3. If we buff the turrets without "freely" buffing defense for all players....then we'll all die faster in battles and thus we can barely do anything before someone one-shots us.
        1. I say "freely" because I know for sure the devs will add some P-2-W item that increases our defense.....yeah, NO.
        2. Either nerf all the turrets back down.....or give every hull a free health buff or something or else gameplay in Tanki will become stale cause all we can do is just shoot and kill players and that's it. Only those with Crisis drones or OP buyer stuff can do things such as capture flags and balls and capture points and such.

That's a really good skin! Keep up the good work!

I would prefer to see more HD skins rather than UT or other skins though. I still appreciate the effort and hard work that went into this skin!

1) Nope, just visually! Not to worry.

2) That's a matter of opinion. In skilled hands it's balanced, but many players have trouble with it. I think you're right that the lack of modules being nice though, we'll probably see an increase in those.

3) Like before, the buyer aspect is only cosmetic - it's listed separately from the striker buff in the patch notes.

btw what do you guys think about 4th slot?? I think 4 slots are too much. for example, I mostly use twins. And often I would be alone in my team who would be using twins. So the enemy either had to use protection for other turrets (which were more common i.e. 3 different turrets equipped by all my teammates), or use protection against just my turret (if i am being annoying for him with my aggressive playstyle), to defend against me but give up protection against lets just say thunder, which might be being used by 2 of my teammates. Now it wont be possible.

        Also, 4 slots will make guys with critical protection overpowered. With 3 slots of protection, they had to give up one valuable slot (2 others slots limited their choice to a few turrets and therefore vulnerable to other turrets for most part). now with 4 slots, giving  up 1 slot for protection module is not even a hard decision. remaining 3 slots will be enough in most cases to get protection from maybe 6/8 enemy turrets.

(P.S.: I personally preferred the legacy modules. predefined sets. It had more pros and cons side to it, than current and more flexible system. but current 3 slots is also fine)
