The 4th Module Slot

I'd just like to ask the Devs, who's idea was it to price the 4th module slot at 5k tankcoins? 5 thousand tankcoins, are you serious? So, you either expect players to spend well over 50 dollars to get every slot, or, have us spend 36 months playing Tanki daily just so that we can obtain the full 4 slots for modules. Oh, and if you'd like to buy the module on sale for 50% off, that would be 25 dollars or 18 months of playing daily. I don't even know what the prices for the 3rd module is because you guys don't announce this kind of stuff anymore.

There are so many problems with the max price being 5k, for one, modules themselves are super expensive, two, people now have to choose whether to spend their Tankcoins on the Battle Pass so that they could get a good Augment, or wait many months to get an extra protection module. The prices were not well thought out here, and I would definitely suggest it being decreased. In the test servers, it was 1k tankcoins, what happened to that price? I would accept that.

These prices better get changed asap.

I wouldn't.

In my opinion, the developers should've waited at least 5 more years, or until we get 20 turrets in the game.

Then, that is when they give us the fourth module slot......

if free player want free battle pass with 2 month saving, they can forget 4th module. (and 3rd module for new low ranks)

if free player want 4th module with 10month (if available for discount) or 20month saving, they cant forget free battle pass

----

battle pass is only worth-buying coin item, as it give free player accessible to premium stuff like animated paint, skin container, OP augment and hull augment,

which is "too good" for free player, so you either give up challenge premiums or less protection in battle.

Tankcoins is a way to make the developers setting a limit for your progress and exceeding, with the amount they want you to earn

Things should be for crystals even if their prices were 1 million.. Because crystals is an opened revenue, not a limited like tankoins

By the time, we saved enough for 4th module slot.

i expect 5000 coin for 2nd hull immu augment slot. Since by then, there are too many thing to immu, like stun, emp, ap,

IF they still have enough players to run the game by then.  ?

Just heard about the announcement. I got bored and did some semi-mental math:

Let's say you are an average player. You are now set on earning that juicy fourth module slot because yes.

Here are your guaranteed* sources of Tankoin income:

- Weekly containers - A total of 6 weeklies, and you earn 3 per container.

- Bi-weekly challenges - 100 per two weeks (and some change as there is some downtime between challenges, but let's just say two weeks)

*So long as you play. I don't have the time to do that, but let's say you, average Joe, do.

This leads to a total of 136 tankoins per two weeks.

Dividing 5000 by 136 gives a value of 36.765, or 37 weeks to save up for your module slot.

Edit: Shoot, I made a mistake. That would be the number of TWO-week intervals that you would have to spend saving for a 4th protection module slot. The true number of weeks would go up to 74 weeks. 

Bottom Line: You'll need over a year of playing hard and doing your missions in order to obtain your fourth protection slot.**

**This does not include any costs you may want to spend, such as battle passes, augments, special offers, random coinbox and container splurges, and the like.

Yep i wouldnt even waste my money of this sad excuse for a fourth modual slot if i knew if it was gonna be this damn expensive.  I mean it costs way too much for its price. 1.7k-2.5k tankoins manageable but 5k tankoins *bleeeeep* That.

Nope - Zero Tankcoins is manageable. 

Because 10 hours ago, it cost zero tankcoins to unlock modules and everyone was happy with that. EVERYONE.

There's no one gonna wanna buy that lame garbage. Sure, buyers exist in Tanki, but majority of players don't buy on here.

If they did need money, it would've been better if they just made a new skin or add some new bundles in the shop.

Or even just make some buyer turret augments. At this point, I don't really care anymore.
 


But adding a paywall to something that was literally free for years (2nd and 3rd module slots) is completely unacceptable.

What's next? We can only buy 3 turrets in each account and if we want more, we have to pay 1000 tankcoins for a new turret slot? My gosh......

Guys in calculations you don't have to say you will buy it in 50% sales, 50% sales doesn't happen always. If you want to put 50% sales in your calculations, you have to add 1-3 more months in your calculation

You have only to put the 30% discounts into account, which are pretty common. Especially where there are players who assume that we don't ever need a discounts and it's a generous thing from developers on us.

I haven't been able to buy anything in the shop for the whole year.

 

And this shouldn't be something we have to buy.

 

The next thing we ll see is helicopters and airplanes *new hulls* that we can only get by buying it.

 

And Tesla? Tesla will cost 2500 tankoins to unlocks, and then crystals like normal to upgrade.

 

I can only support small monetary requests in a game. This is a terrible sign tanki is giving us. Boycott at all costs.

 

This is immensely powerful in 6 v6 and 8 v 8 games. But resist.

Why not changing the price of all turrets and hulls from crystals to tankcoins?  Crystals could only be used for micro-upgrade.

 

New players can stick to Smoky+Hunter/Ares if they don't save up or buy TKs. ?

Hull augments cost 5k TK as well, and you don't have to buy a 4th module slot for every hull. So I don't really see what the issue is. Sure it's P2W but as far as P2W mechanics go the price is standard.

I liked the idea of a fourth prot slot, and I was willing to cough up the assumed 1000 Tankoins to get it. It's disappointing but not surprising to see that the price is so astronomically high. 

It's crazy to think that the second and third modules are paywalled now, too. It's bad enough that the exp/crystal imbalance is leaving low rankers with inadequate modules. Seriously, there are people with Mk4/Mk5 modules fighting Legends with Mk8 turrets. Now, we'll also be seeing new low rankers with one or two modules fight Legends who have always had all 3 (or now have 4!).

You forgot: new Players will have to pay 50 tankcoins for the SECOND module slot.

And I have no idea how much the third module slot is cause they won't tell you until you buy the 2nd slot. My guess is 500 tankcoins.

I'm not lol. 1000 tankcoins is a lot and I'm not willing to spend it on a module slot which ends up forcing me to pay several hundred thousand more crystals just to buy and upgrade a module to actually put it in the slot.

 

It would be way better if the devs decided to just wait till we have 16 - 20 turrets in the game, then release the fourth slot for free. I feel like the crystal price of maintaining four modules to upgrade is already too much for a free to play person (unless they decide to reduce costs on modules). No need to put any tankcoins in the pricetag.
