Of course, Tanki Online won't stay aside and will join in the celebrations.

The Holidays are starting from this Friday until Monday and on Sunday we celebrate the Easter.

Easter Holidays are only a day away, the true Easter is on May the 2nd, and still no announcements for the celebrations from the developers ... strange ...

As I've told you before, Easter was already celebrated last month in TO. I do understand that some people celebrate it on May, but it won't be celebrated again in TO.

Well you missed the Gregorian Easter and there is no Julian Easter on Tanki.

year   Full Moon Gregorian Easter Julian Easter
2021 March 28 April 4 May 2
2022 April 16 April 17 April 24

Here above is the Gregorian Easter date for next year, tick it in your calendar so you don't miss it.

Dude, I am not sure whether your post is due to arrogance, flaming or plain ignorance, but here is what you should tick in your head:

Orthodox Easter 2021 is on May 2nd !

As you know, or may not know, Tanki Online is a Russian game and fyi the majority of the players are Russians, Ukrainians, Belorussians, etc and the vast majority of them are Orthodox.

So it NOT possible for the developers to celebrate the Catholic/Protestant Easter and ignore (at least) the equally so important Orthodox Easter !

Easter in TO is not over - the Eastern Easter is coming in a few days and it surely it will be celebrated as was the Western Easter !

So, this topic remains active and open for discussions on the events in  honour of the coming bright holiday - The Easter !

Very, very strange to see this coming from a moderator ...

You should know, that Eastern and Western Christianity celebrate Easter on  different dates.

The Western holiday was noted and YOU say that this is enough and the people from the East do not have their right to celebrate too ...

You imply the latter are second-rank people ... or that  their opinion in the game does not matter ???

Do you really realize what  you claim ???

BECAUSE IT IS OUTRAGEOUS !

I did say that tanki si doing the Gregorian one,  and I did not mention Orthodox nor Russia in my post. I just say tanki choses the Gregorian one.
So don't autoflame yourself. lol.

It is a fact Easter on Tanki is done and dusted: March 2021 Easter in Tanki Online!

It's not even about Western vs. Eastern Christianity's dates of celebrations though. It's about the Gregorian vs. Julian calendars - the Gregorian is used almost everywhere in the world, so why would the TO devs not use the dates in that calendar as opposed to the Julian one?

Remember that Easter is also celebrated by non-religious people, in fact I'm pretty sure the devs themselves emphasised the non-religious aspects of the Easter celebration as they always do when it comes to events (apart from something like the Holi event in the past).

....

Why are you deliberately making a fool out of yourself to try justify the arrogance of the developers ???

What calendars are you talking about ???

Countries which do not use the Gregorian calendar include Afghanistan, Iran, Ethiopia, and Nepal.

ALL the rest use the Gregorian calendar, including Russia and all Orthodox countries ..

I do not understand what Julian calendar you are coming up with, who even knows and cares about it  ???

It is all about the different dates of Easter for the West and the East Christianity !

What we have here is a clear biased attitude, favouring a Holiday celebrated by only one branch of only one religion - the Western Christianity cluster.

Easter is coming soon, this Sunday,  to Greece, Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, MonteNegro, etc ...  but the devs do not care about the players from these geographies, right ...  the Westerners had THEIR holiday and the rest of the world must have celebrated with them or keep silent now ...  no other holidays are tolerated here ...

Orthodox Easter apart, I wonder if we shall see celebrations regarding also Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha or Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur or Diwali or Dussera ...

This Easter attitude, displayed by the developers, is highly offencive and equally such is the attitude of many dwellers here who care only about themselves and totally disrespect the others ...

The forum has become a dark and sad place ...

I also will have my Holiday, but I feel hurt nonetheless ... this is not game, nor my forum - no more !

The date of Easter that Orthodox Christians celebrate comes from the Julian calendar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_calendar). What I'm saying is why would the devs not follow the calendar that most of the world uses aka the Gregorian one?

Also - just to let you know that Easter is also a SECULAR holiday too, just like Christmas is celebrated by non-Christians. The devs are not endorsing the "Western Christian Easter" but the SECULAR holiday of Easter. They are not a religious organisation or affiliated with any religion.

So what exactly is your solution, for there to be two Easter events in Tanki separated by a month? That would be illogical and pointless.

Just to let you know Easter is NOT a secular holiday, not anything like Christmas.

The Orthodox people never celebrate it on the days of the Catholic/Protestant - I mean NEVER  EVER - the opposite being also true !

Your Easter is just an ordinary day for all of us  - we go to work, families do not gather, we do not color eggs, we do not go to church, etc .. and so it was this year too.

The Orthodox people had always fully ignored the western style Easter, guess same as you will do with the now going on orthodox Holidays.

So, yes - there must either be two Easter celebrations, because, though celebrating one religious event, practically these are two absolutely different Holidays - or there should be none !

It is very, very, very rude and offensive that the Devs prefer one community over the other !

It is also very sad, that there are so many and such brainwashed people  here.

What is missing here is TOLERANCE AND EQUALITY !

Because from this unfortunate Easter Event one thing is crystal clear - all communities/people are equal, but some more than others !

I am off for good !

I'm sorry but tell me how Easter bunnies, Easter egg hunts, etc. are in any way, shape or form related to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sir // The tradition of eating chocolate at Easter is tied to Lent. During the six weeks before Easter, known as Lent, Christians abstained from consuming animal products. This included all dairy and eggs. // this was done years ago . not everyone follows this rule now.

For those who are celebrating

UK Prime Minister on Twitter: "Wishing Orthodox Christians a very happy and blessed Easter. Thank you for staying at home on this important day. #StayHomeSaveLives #OrthodoxEaster… https://t.co/BNxquIkMOb"

@Bydo Would you not agree with me that Easter is ALSO celebrated by non-religious folk, not just in many Western countries? And what does the Easter bunny have to do with any religious tradition?

@Bil.G.Old The devs are NOT celebrating any religious holidays, and the Easter event in Tanki Online has nothing whatsoever to do with religion. Of course, Easter is a traditional Christian celebration, but non-religious people/organisations (such as Alternativa) are celebrating the SECULAR holiday of Easter. Please understand this once and for all.

sir I understand from both sides of the Easter . in tanki they call it more like spring events and for the Orthodox Easter they do a normal event ( sort of) . see tanki wont take sides on religion , only because there is so many out there that its best to keep it out of the chat and battles. this way it's not provoking others and causing issues .

for those who don't celebrate but get time off for it , then its great to spend time with tanki - friends / battles . or in real life family / friends . if you can be with them - due to CV.
