Forum reaction update

Back in the days there was a dislike reaction on the forum. Later, this was removed, but people started using "confused" reaction as a dislike. Then that reaction was replaced with Hmm, yet people still use it sometimes as a dislike, which is confusing, since you don't know if they wanted to react with the actual Hmm or with dislike. So, first of all, i suggest to re-add the dislike reaction, but in this case, it will work differently than it used to:

  • Reputation given: 0 (so no decrease in it)
  • It's not shown on the profiles

In this way, people can't decrease the reputation of other tankers with reactiong to all post just because they don't like this person, and they can't spam with it either so that the member has a lot of dislikes on his/her profile. However, you can show if you don't like a post (such like a patch note), and people won't use Hmm anymore as a dislike.
The "Hmm" reaction can be either removed, or it can stay as it is now, or, maybe it could be give reputation too so i can use it like "Hmm, that is interesting". Of course, if it will give reputation, the Hmm-s given before the update will be invalid, and won't give extra rep points.
Secondly, the old style of reactions looked much better, not the forum looks like a discord.2 emoticon and reaction-wise. So, i suggest to instead of replacing Haha and sad with discord emoticons, ask designers (i guess they did the old forum reactions too, but if not, ask the person who is responsible for this) to make a forum-styled Hmm reaction (if it won't be removed).

You said it yourself, the dislike reaction was removed because players used it as a way to provoke and annoy other forum users. As for the "Hmm" reaction, there were talks about removing it so I will bring it up for discussion soon. The best way to show you do not like a certain post/topic is to write your opinion about it in a respectful manner.

For me it is not necessarily about receiving negative reputation points or having a low reputation level, but it would bother me to see a comment of mine being spammed with negative reactions, especially since many people on the internet tend to throw dislikes to everything that's even a little different from their opinion. The forum is a place for discussion; if a comment is made with which others agree then members can react with a positive reaction, if people disagree with a message then they should quote it and explain how they perceive the regarding issue. If certain content is offensive or out of context, then moderators should deal with these comments accordingly

I know people who are already "interested" with all of the posts they see

I see there are 3 reactions to describe "Like".. Like , Agree , Thanks. They're pretty the same, it just made a spreads in many posts for a three reactions for a one purpose. I see Agree especially is useless, I always use Like instead.

1: And they do the same with Hmm reaction, but the problem is, that if someone uses Hmm now you can't even know that if he used it for that or not. As i said, the dislike raction will be local, aka it won't display on your profile, so it doesn't really matter if you have 456789 or 1 dislikes, because no one will know the number of it.

2:  There is one thing you can't remove: the players opinion. There are, and always will be post that you don't like.

3: Yes, I always do that. But that's me. A lot of people are lazy, or idk why, but they don't comment just leave a Hmm. Also, there are topics where you can't comment, like a patch notes, however, it would be an easy way to see if the playerbase mostly liked/disliked the update.

This is sad but true. Yet the removal of dislike button didn't solve the problem, people spam with hmm. Also, since the newly added dislike wouldn't display on your profile, as said above, it won't be visible anywhere if someone spam with it, beside the actual topic, but well if i see a person reacting to all of your posts in a specific topic with dislike, that tells about the intelligence of a person, not the quality of your posts.

As i also said, I quote, but some people don't. Also, you are not able to comment everywhere.

@BloodPressure see? Now i don't actaully know that you mean Hmm here or dislike. That is what this update could solve.

I meant neither of the two options, I just like to tease and confuse people up to the point that they do not know how to react.
Anyways, on a serious note I do not see the purpose of the ? reaction. As I already said, there should not be a dislike-option; people who disagree or do not fully understand what the other person means should reply with their opinion or ask for clarification. Of course people should make sure their messages are clear and understandable before posting, but when this is not the case then the -emoji does not help with anything either
