Because it made the game unbalanced with too many Isidas surviving for too long.

Too many?  NO.  Any single isida with vampirism made it unbalanced.

New Isida augment

50% of the damage you deal is added to your HP   - same as the OP one removed years ago.

Critical damage removed  [according to WIKI isida has no critical damage boost - so nothing lost here]
Critical heal removed
Healing lowered (amount TBD)

I can't believe they are adding vampirism back and it does 50% self-heal.  Exactly like the one they removed.   LOL.

Isida can go through Ocelot with critical shot.

Wiki is now updated:

  • Healing teammates is essentially removed entirely (1hp per tick)

Also, note that critical hits from Isida (or any turret for that matter) allow it to ignore protection modules, and so this augment will be unable to do this on any ticks.

With that in mind, I think that wrapped up in this update is probably a move to get more ocelot modules used, since they practically never were before.

Also, just my opinion here, but while 50% sounds pretty OP,  keep in mind the game is different from how it was back when they removed it - supplies to armor and heal are much more common now, and modules are stronger now then the paints were back then. It'll still be quite a strong augment, but not as ridiculously strong as it was originally, even though the 50% parameter is the same.

the DM mode is qucik easy to get top 1 as everyone rush for gold, and splash kill in one shot.

compared to CP, same average 20 kill per battle. but CP give double battle scores.

So why was the original Vampirism for Isida removed from the game?

because that time, there is no augment and no OD

and isida can heal and damage and self heal, 3 feature in one.

so isida viking (drugon)- isida viking (drugon)- isida viking (drugon) train in CTF is unstopable,

---

basically now this augment make old isida single fight mode back, isida team cant heal each other and self heal by attacking together.

you need a team of (support nano) + (adrenaline) + (vampire) isida to make train work, but this much weaker version of other 3-in-1 isida train

----

actually if 3 (vampire isida + mechanic drone) , they are still unstopable in short burst. but now you can wasp bomb them in 1 go.

Well, as Marcus would say, gotta pay for the servers to stay up somehow, right?

I made it first place on the special DM mode. This was my first battle.

I'm curious what combo you used here.

That module is rarely if ever used.

Not being able to ignore a (rarely used) module is hardly significant.

And you say the game has changed.  It sure has.  What was Isida's DPS when it used to have 50% vampirism.  What is DPS now?

I did met some 50% Ocelot in battles occasionally.  Most of them were Twins-Mammy/Viking.

The special DM mode with no overdrives and drones is pretty good and fun, glad that the developers have implemented this after a lot of players including myself suggested it - and it is especially good as it is a refuge from the terrible drone/supply linkage update since no-one has drones there.

I do wish the developers would also listen to our feedback on the more important issues, and not just on event modes - such as last week when myself and others expressed major concerns about the proposed (and now implemented) drone/supply power linkage. We now see the problems we all raised appear in the game, with obviously none of our feedback taken into account.

Yes the special mode is good, it is a start that the developers listen on this - just a shame that they don't also for the bigger things however.
