Create a key as a prize to unlock the protection module slots

Hello heres what I propose. Why not make a new item that is a module key as a prize that are ultra containers exclusive only as a legendary item to unlock the 4th slot. Or it can apply to the other module slots. For example there would be a total of 3 keys. If you get a key you can save it till you get the third slot then use it or you can use it sooner. But after you get the 4th slot the keys will be removed from the prize pool. So in a way this idea would make another option to unlock other module slots.

In the paying side, 5000 Tankoins is a way much cheaper than Exotic tier in UCs. 

Also I'm pretty happy as it's only with Tankoins, as I can say basically with calculations you need more than a year of continuously playing. But if it was on containers, there will be many players here annoying me as you can get them from containers. Especially the F2P players who got them from the containers. Like what happened with the F2P players who got EMP Gauss from containers, they maybe even bothered us more than the buyers how it's balanced.

I'd rather get it all for free than pay 5000 tankcoins.

There's no way I am wasting what could potentially be 10 battle passes just for a module slot that I still need to pay hundreds of thousands of crystals to upgrade a fourth module just to utilize the fourth slot.

I was briefly tempted by the tankoins offer (my Marshall account has nine modules at over 40%, and this account will soon have the same when it ranks up), but I'd rather spend 5000 tankoins on other things and I didn't want the "buyer scum" abuse in the chat from having the fourth module

But they'll still make a lot of money when people buy UCs in the hopes of getting it. Like with Crisis and other OP items.

Except it's RNG based and you might not be able to get the 4th slot even if you threw over 1k USD for UC's.

Might as well buy the slot itself as you are guaranteed to get it straight away.

It won't appear to be as P2W if it's only available in UCs because then the devs will say "look, you can't buy it, but you can hope to get it from Ultra containers - it's RNG so not giving buyers an advantage".

I like this idea.

 

It's not just for the fourth slot. It can be used for second or third (Although it's probably best to save it).

Legendary rarity would be cool, but know the Devs, if this is added, probably an Exotic item.

5000 Tankoins is incredibly hard to obtain, just as an Legendary/Exotic tier prize from Ultra Containers. I like this idea because it is a secondary way for a free to play player to obtain more Module slots.

 

This idea also reminds me of the Magic Key item the game <Clash Royale> recently added.

It is a secondary method. I don't think you read that correctly.

I was speculating that if the devs want to make it appear less P2W they can simply put it in UCs instead of locking it behind a paywall.

I do understand OP's idea is different though.

Regardless, it will require 50 Challenges to get a 4th Module slot. As a new player, 56 Challenges should be a breeze as a progression system. However, for a Legend player, this is complete BS as it is not a progression system and will have to resort to paying.

I liked this idea because Legendary/Exotic items are already rare enough from Ultra Containers. It would provide a secondary way for both newbies and Legend players to try to obtain new Module slots. New players, in case you don't know, are now even locked from their 2nd and 3rd Module slots. New players would still need to beat Challenges to get the slots before using the key for their 4th slot (Assuming they are smart enough to save them). As for Legend players, a secondary way, as mentioned above.

Argument: This is promoting P2W.

Is buying TKs for Module slots not promoting P2W as well?

Nowadays a new player can rank up to Legend way, way before they complete 50 Challenges.

I was suggesting that the devs make the fourth module ONLY obtainable in UCs, so that buyers aren't able to outright buy it for Tankoins.

Imagine if other OP items cost Tankoins instead of being locked behind RNG - say, for example, if Crisis were available to be bought for 10000 Tankoins, the buyers could easily afford that anyway and the devs would be accused of blatant P2W. However, if it's in UCs it's not guaranteed that buyers will get it, even if they open thousands of such containers.

I dare you to say in the forum that EMP Gauss is a P2W Augment, you will get attacked from many players that No you can get it from UCs.

This is why I said I'm happy in my above post as the 4th protection slot is with Tankoins only.

Guys making the 4th protection module in UCs  isn't another way to obtain it as you see.   It's only an excuse for the developers.

It's the same when they introduced the tankoins, actually I was strongly disagree with the update. But I see Youtube comments are extremely happy and can't wait, I don't know what was they think?   Obviously it will be for a very low amount, and only an excuse for the developers for the hulls augments / skins.   regardless that it's now have some other uses like the BS

Still, four battle passes is way better than one protection module slot lol.

"Four", as in three 1,500 tankcoin passes that cost 4,500 tankcoins altogether, and the extra 400 tankcoins you earn from each gold tier of each of the 3 passes that add up to 1200 tankcoins, combined with the 100x3 tankcoins from the free tier, which would get you 4 passes :)

Pretty dumb if you ask me. How would this negatively affect the tanki economy? This idea was to also benefit f2p players through earning means and promote spending.  Oh well, another good idea in the garbage bin.
