The problem of mines

Question

When a mine is buried, it is the same as the previous Thunder and Smoky. There is no falling process, and it is directly buried on the same plane coordinates as the ground.
Question 2: When my hull was on multiple enemy tanks, I planted mines. When I buried the first mine, it turned out that the bottom tank was damaged.
One last question: Why does Hovertank step on mines? Is there a smart detection device?

Yes the bottom most tank gets the damage as it is the one that comes into physical contact with the mine. All the tanks above it are not in physical contact with the mine and hence they do not receive the damage.

Hover tanks, actually known as hovering hulls, act like magnets and hence they pick up supplies and detonate mines.

I did not quite understand this question of yours. Would you elaborate it?

Why do the mines buried above pass directly through the tank below to the ground?

Because the mines can't be spawned on other players. Only on map obstacles.

Hovertank steps on mines because some engineer was dumb enough to add a magnet on the hull, like @Ironmantonystark said.

If the dumb engineer didn't put a random magnet on the hull, the hover hulls could've been roaming around the maps freely, immune to all mines.

But nah, the engineer had to ruin everyone's fun.

The bit about falling process and coordinates may be referring to old mines' mechanics of preserving the momentum of a tank, as described in the mine wiki page that I need to update.

Not sure what they mean by lightning and black smoke, though. Something to do with a critical hit or the mine vanishing when you're killed maybe?

I think you are correct. I believe that when @fhfbvc meant lightning it was the critical hit and black smoke is what appears when the one who placed the mine dies and hence the mine vanishes. Those are the answers @fhfbvc .

More about critical hits and critical damage can be found here.

I was wrong before. I'm actually talking about the two turrets, Smoky and Thunder. Like mines, their shells had no speed limit before. There is no speed limit on the falling speed of mines.

Unrelated to OP's question, but I just love how the Mine Wiki page starts off - "Mines are very small but threatening object..." ? ?

1# mines are magical feature, they appear on the ground below the tank, they don't fall. So only the tank touching the ground will touch it and will activated it. They only affect one tank, the tank in contact (or the one that activated it).

2# mines are magical feature, but they also have metal detection triggers. Saying that, this is games made by programming, so if developers wants the hoovering tank to trigger mines, they will make happen via the coding, and then will explain via a story (metal detection). They did not make a story on the first question though.

Mines don't fall - they just appear on the ground below the tank and stick to it. They only float above badly design building roof.

This is why there is no momentum either, if they appears slightly further than you expected, it a special magic trick (called Lag).
