nicknames for weapons

Do yall have nicknames for the weapons in the game? I do.

 

1 Isida, parasite,

2. hammer, shotgun

3 Freeze,  freezer

4 Firebird, flame thrower

5 vulcan, machine gun

6 Magnum,  arty

7 Ricochet , Rico

 

 

Thats all i can think of at the moment . Cant wait to hears responses

Most nicknames for turrets are just shorter versions of them to make them easier to say/type. Rico, Rail, Mag, Fire...

Russians seem have a much wider variety of abbreviations, and even many nicknames for specific combos, such as "horerelya", "dikorik", "mamoizya", etc.
I'll leave it to you to guess what they mean :D

I in particular don't have any specific nicknames for all turrets but usually when I am immersed in battle and speak to myself, I use various nicks. I have nicks only to what I use the most though.

"Horerelya" I think this one is closest to "Hornet-Rel'sa" (or Hornet-Rail in Russian).

"Dikorik" This one matches to "Diktator-Rikoshet" (Dictator-Ricochet)

"Mamoizya" Matches to "Mamont-Izida" (Mammoth-Isida)

The only turret I have name for is Railgun.. Laser

I used to call it Laser for all of my years in Tanki, but after I entered the forum last year I just had to change it to call it Railgun.

Understandable why you'd think it's a laser, but railguns are a real life weapon, where a projectile is accelerated to extremely high velocity using electromagnets. The "laser" you see is actually supposed to be a trail of dust left behind by the projectile.

Regularly I use abbreviations, but the only items that can get a proper abbr. are Fire, Rail, Rico, Dic and Crus, potentially Mammy. For augments, clanmates and in-game friends of mine always talk with abbreviations. Typing AGLM and EAS is more practical than saying Automated Gunpowder Loading Mechanism and Electromagnetic Accelerator Scout

From my experience most people refer to it by "scout".  Many do not know what EAS stands for.

@asem.harbi @wolverine848 fair enough. I say scout from time to time as well, but since we call most augments with their abbr I tend to say either EAS or Scout

well, a few years ago i used to call freeze a fridge...
Having a more complex/longer nickname than the original makes no sense. At work im called Vasya even tho my name is Victor.

everything what sets on fire is called fire, everything what freezes is called freeze, whatever ricochets is rico.
The railgun looking thunder is just thunder.
The vulcan looking like smoky is vulcan....

I remember back when I first tried Thunder M0 back in the summer of 2013, as a noob to the game I thought it was trash and I couldn't figure out why I kept damaging my tank lol.

But over the years I've grown to appreciate its strength as basically a more powerful and practical Smoky.
