Agree. I've almost completely stopped using Titan on my accounts because of the many nerfs it's received - Mammoth is a far superior heavy hull these days, especially considering how quickly its OD charges up. Heck, even Ares is a more decent choice.

This is so true, I reallllly hate when they do this. I don't know how long Heat Immunity has been in the game for, a year and a half maybe? 2 years? At least a year, and players have been screaming for this to be nerfed ever since its introduction - it should have been nerfed within the first 2 weeks. But because of HI/IB they have sold so many more Heat Immunity augments, it is quite obvious they have intentionally allowed it to be like this. I believe there was a Q&A session in which the developers stated that using Vulcan with Heat Immunity was "the ideal way to play Vulcan", and that was months or over a year ago - so they have been FULLY aware of this issue and done nothing about it, so whether it was a bug or not, leaving it this way was very intentional.

At least be HONEST and admit that they have now DECIDED to nerf it, rather than making the ludicrous claim that this is a bug fix, lol. Still - nerf is a nerf, and this has been needed for a long time, the game will be better for it.

I have never engaged in the special missions, it requires you to play way more than i care to do.

Just another ploy by the devs to get you playing and if you are a low rank you wont be by the end of the challenge/special mission, which has a negative impact if you are not a buyer as you rank far to quickly to maintain your garage at the prevailing ranks, which then throws you into the mix with far superior combos than your underpowered garage can handle.

Don't you have AP-immunity for your Titan now?  Or did you miss that Challenge.

Makes a HUGE difference. Equipped it right after the Challenge and have never switched it out.  Might as well super-glue it to the hull.

It is very true that you do usually need to play quite a bit to get the special missions done, and if you are low rank you will usually end up gaining quite a bit of exp. Some of the recent special missions take a bit less exp to complete however, so I have managed to do those on alt accounts quite fast without gaining thaaat much. But mainly for Legends the special missions are good - but yes you'll need to play for maybe 2 to 4 hours to get them done over 3 days, which is quite a bit.

The other way to get the "imba" augments is through the battle passes, if you are at low rank. Getting the tankoins for that requires you to play regularly at least however, so yes if you are a low ranker with limited time to play competing in the modern Tanki is going to be hard.

One of the reasons I gave up on TX.  It was not for the casual players.

Yep, I did miss that challenge unfortunately.

But I feel like, generally speaking, Titan's OD has so many counters to it that it's honestly not that useful to me. I play more dynamically, so Mammoth suits me better.

Could have been 10 vulcan IB/HI on our side and they would have made no difference against these 2 flying monkeys, who by the way capped the last 3 flags that i saw in very quick fashion as i joined late.

All maxed out with crisis on. And good ol marcus was waiting to take flag sitting up on top of the wall with his helicopter.

Of course vulcan needed it's nerf because it regularly flies around the map capping mega quick flags on it's own.

Both of these players are a joke, just like the devs they fawn over.

IB-HI is better on smaller maps.  All you have to do is start firing as soon as you spawn and then find targets.  Won't take long if the maps are small.  With all the status effects today, HI is not that common - players are worried about EMP, Stun and AP just as much as burning.

On maps where you need to move more or have lots more cover or longer ranges for combat adrenaline works better.

The largest downfall with IB HI is that close quarters it cannot deal with enemies very well, especially if it's melee range. At long distances you're going to have a tough time even landing shots. With adrenaline, long range isn't a problem, and usually short range isn't either (especially in the case of Crusader Vulcan adrenaline). I have literally taken out enemies using IB HI while they had protection against me, and had all supplies active without ever using my overdrive and having run out of supplies. In a 1-1, IB HI vs ADR HI, ADR will definitely come out on top because it's just that much easier to aim and land hits with. I kid you not when I say that ever since I bought adrenaline, I literally have not equipped IB because it just pales in comparison.

Actually I was using Viking Hammer (if you mean the 2 people shown on the enemy team for your screen shot)

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean when you call someone/something a flying monkey? I didn't bother to read any of the previous posts.

On Sandbox I have no problem getting 20-30 kills with IB-HI.  I never stop firing once I spawn so all those melee turrets are burning before they get in range.  It was so effective there it's just silly.

I don't know I feel like Tanki will return it through the time as a Legendary/Exotic in UCs. With a nerf (buff in other meaning) of self-heating in less than 12 seconds.  Honestly the 12s for the old IB wasn't a nerf or have an effect for other players, but it's just an annoying thing for its player.

Nerf? Ha-ha! Now I can heat up, kill, stop firing, warm up again and heat up everyone with dealing full damage! But seriously it is necessary step to bring skill involved with combinations that was OP.

@cosmic666  no offense, i mean I hate all the updates beside shard one lately, but IB and HI was for me personally the most hated combo. I agree devs are greedy etc., But on this note I agree it's right move for balance to have it like that and as y can see based on feedback almost  everyone is glad it's nerfed, so players did want it and the problem is in you and not in devs in this particular problem, if y didn't see that you could kill 10 tanks in a row just by pressing fire button and moving forward.

Yea. Warm up. Self destroy. Start again.

Not to mention you cannot fire Vulcan without the enemy shouting back.

So glad for the ib/hi nerf its long overdue, i would normally get shot for 2 seconds and be set on fire even from long distances, unless you have kr/hi its was impossible to kill the combo or you would both die

It was also the least skilled combo in the game, as all you had to was hold now the spacebar

 

Although FLYING MONKEY is on par in annoyance probably never going to get nerfed

When you can say that vulcan was by far the MOST OP thing in the game with 100% certainty, then you will have cause to object to my post. Until that happens, which we both no will not, best to be more compelling with your posts when trying to quash mine.  

Just to inform you, they also talked about hopper in the recent v-log, but i am not sure if you heard that because all that you are concentrating on is that devs nerfed the BURNING CHEAT, which was clearly the most unfair, but legal exploit in the game.
