Have you ever had an awesome gold catch you forgot to record? Or an awesome Crusader snipe?
Well fear not, here's the new Replay Mode!... if we had one.

This would be a lifesaver for content creators. This way, i can save tons of space on my PC.

Declined

As far as I know, most of the players who play Tanki Online do not have the best PCs. Adding such feature to the game would not benefit many players and may also cause lags. Currently there are many recording programs that have a replay mode, so I would suggest you to download one of those.

What?! How can a replay mode cause a lag? Tell me please, I may not know something you know.

In order to have this replay mode in game, it will require the game to record your screen, and as you know, recording causes lags to slower/bad PCs.

I think we have a misunderstanding here, replay mode does not record the screen but all the actions and movements of the tanks in battle.

Let me explain, the game saves every move and action in a battle and then saves them for replay later, it happens on the game server and not on the player's computer so there is no lag.

In Rocket League, after each game, I have the option to save a replay, and then later I can replay the game, change the camera angels, control the speed, and so on.

Here's a video of how it works in Rocket:

Server lags are already quite often in TO. Also, i do not think that the servers have the capacity for this.

For those who have a general low tier gaming rig, they will naturally have a means to record anyways.

Windows game bar; mobile screen recording on phones; nvidia shadowplay/obs.

Every move includes a LOT of information. Od charging rates, supplies, Tanks, MANY MANY projectiles, augments etc. The game can hardly handle much as is.

Aw man, how would it cause lags?
Every great idea gets declined.. except my ''Buff Containers'' one. That was a totally not good idea.
Replay mode in Tanki would be perfect. But i guess Tanki chooses to live in the old times and just make money off of buyers.

Recording those "actions and movements" is pretty much the same as recording your screen.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good idea but it wouldn't fit to the game - One of the main reasons people play tanki is because it doesn't require a super strong PC like other games.

Implementing a replay system is a complex task that would require a lot of development time. I do not think that the benefit of having a replay system justifies spending so much effort implementing it from the developers' point of view.

Honestly I'm recording 24/7 of the time I play. So recording system wont benefit me alot.

The method I use for recording is, my "F8" is a key for starting and stopping the video. I start recording from the second I play, and whenever I find a hot moment I just click F8 stopping the video and click it again starting a new video.   OK, my Laptop is fullfeed of random videos. After a period of time (week or more), I just go to my videos directory and quickly opening my videos some of them one hour or half an hour, and going directly to the last seconds to see my hot moment. And yeah I cut it out directly. Most of my hot moments ends in deleting, except the interesting / extraordinary ones to share in the forum.

My 512SSD Laptop, sometimes get filled quickly. So I do an emergency checking in the long videos to cut the hot moment and deleting the file. Now I have 24 uncutted videos, 26.7GB. 26GB looks moderate. One time I have passed 200GB.
