Status Effect Built-Up

Currently, there are only two states when applying status effect to the target, either it is applied or it is not applied. I would like to introduce an intermediate state between them.

Instead of applying the status effect directly, those attacks will increase the built up of the corresponding status effect. When the built up reach 100%, the target is inflicted with the corresponding status effect (i.e. currently everything in the game has 100% built up, if it inflicts status effects). On the target, the built up will slowly decrease overtime. Each turret/augment/OD can have different built-up value.

 

 

E.g. consider if the AP augment of Magnum now has 45% AP built-up. 

That means it requires at least 3 hits for magnum to inflict AP. Yet, other turrets with AP can contribute to the built up to speed up the process. And if the target run away and stay safe for a long time, the built up will slowly decrease and will eventually back to 0. And everything will start over.

Yet, if the target is already inflicted with AP, adding AP built-up will do nothing (other status effects are not affected). You have to wait for the AP to expire before repeating the cycle. This is done to prevent the target being inflicted with the same status effect over and over again.  

 

This can also introduce another stats: status effect resistance. I.e. 50% status effect resistance means that magnum I described now only add 15% built up to the target
