They fixed that game up - it's a totally different game compared to when it was first released. No P2W or grinding required to unlock characters at all.

Oh yeah, pretty fair, right? Being 5th out of 14 players, and getting 1 star(2 with premium). Good luck grinding those stars for all of you. :D

You can not do something big in a mission, but for a while everybody is the same size and strength

and you can not be surprised with some speedy wasp behind you back with a nuke to explode.

Literally, that mode is just Juggernauts spamming Striker Salvos and Impulse Overdrives.

And the only strategy is to grab a couple teammates and just charge into the enemy base and spam every button on your keyboard.

 

The only reason why the mode is worth playing is if you need to finish the "Use Overdrives" missions (cause Jugger OD charges very fast) or if you barely got to try Jugger in normal Team Juggernaut MM battles so you play the all-Jugger special mode to satisfy your curiosity.

Maybe you didn't know but the wasp OD is fast too. But it's OK you don't have wasp and if you have for some reason you don't play with him.

That's true, some of them (like the 232 USD ones) are quite expensive. I think that's one of the things people overlook with games where you have to purchase it. They see for example 20 or 30 USD and think it's expensive. Then they will go ahead and spend much more on a free game which has transactions, such as Tanki.

Well in regards to GTA 5, there's online mode which is a LOT of fun to play, and SWBF2 is no longer a mess. It's absolutely perfected I dare say. Well of course, you have all these games that (I would hope) you enjoy more than Tanki, so why do you come here and talk about how angry you are at Tanki rather than playing those other games you prefer?

That's true. It is hard to leave the game, and you don't need to go cold turkey. Leaving the game doesn't mean you suddenly and completely forget something you spent your time on. You can progressively lower the time you spend on the game and then stop, all the while knowing that if for some reason you want to return that's an option too. Sort of like taking a temporary break from something for an undetermined period of time. If it changes to better suit your interests, and you wish to return by all means do. That's good, reflecting is often one of the best ways to get to the root of something

Because Tanki is still a good concept, and apart from the pay to win thing, it's worth the trouble. I've been around for years, why would I leave now? And what's wrong with being angry? I love it, it shows I'm alive, living, thinking on my own, and I'm out of my comfort zone. That's all good. I don't see your problem with angry or dissatisfied. And it was a temporary feeling anyway. 

But who am I kidding, you seem to be really far from a psychologist.

And we both know that GTA Online was a mess even before the 'free from Epic' thing. I don't even dare download the game after it went free on Epic Games. God save us from that.

Just because you've been doing something for a while doesn't mean you continue it. I don't know why you think you need to be out of your comfort zone. It's a game. The point is to be in your comfort zone and enjoy it. Well yeah GTA online isn't fun if you play in public lobbies. I don't, so that's not my problem and thus I only find the game to be great. Similar to if you only played pro private battles against your friends in Tanki. As I recall, you pinged me about not being angry about something totally out of my control.

Dude, where did I say that I dislike the whole game as it is? They are making bad moves, yeah, I hate those bad moves, sometimes they push those limits and go way too far. Then I get angry. But there's no reason for me to stop, and that's my choice. But that doesn't mean that when they do something I'm not happy with, I'll shut up.

And by the way, you're more likely to learn when you're out of your comfort zone. Let's say you're supposed to be out of your comfort zone, as a human.

Honestly, moving the star tier up by 1000 stars has really made it a stretch. Its back to the original problem when everyone was discouraged to do it. If they wanted to move the bar, it should at maximum be up to 3500 stars. Only doable with special missions with stars and/or if you have premium. Otherwise, sayonara to collecting those 100 tankoins for sure.

Challenges are back to being something I ignore

When I've completed Challenges in the past (because it was possible to do so by doing every Daily Mission), I've had to ask myself if the XP cost / gain is worth the rewards, and sometimes it was

Even if I bought Battle Passes now (I can afford them, but I've chosen not to), I would never grind for those extra stars because the XP cost / gain would be too much

Sometime I envy Legends because they don't have to care about XP / ranking up too quickly any more and can play as much as they like and rake in the crystals on double XP events (especially with Premium), but I'm still not in a hurry to become one

1955 / 4000 stars. 8 days left and I need 2045 stars. 2045 stars, 8 days, 255 stars daily. 150 stars from daily missions. So, need 100 from battles. If I get 3 stars each match need about 35 battles. Each battle 7 minutes.  4-5 hours daily ?

Yeah right, time wasted for nothing. Crap change to challenges...

It's a video game. There's no need to think about comfort zones.

If you want to be angry that's fine. I was happy (and still am) with the rewards of this challenge.

Challenges are a rip-off for any F2P tanker, regardless of rank.  1500 TK for a battle pass?   4000 stars?   Bleecchhh.

Oh yeah, definitely agreed. I wish the prices and stars hadn't increased, because it's now going to be more resources even for buyers (not so much the tankoin increase but more the stars. That'll take some time) and non-buyers will pretty much not be getting any challenges done I fathom without premium, and without the equipment needed to suceed in the meta (AP, EMP, stun augments).

You can reduce further 450 stars from weekly missions that might make it possible for this round.

This challenge is designed to get players grinding out more battle time. 

The removal of the upgrade feature, along with having to max out a drone and the helicopter legal hack are the worst updates so far to blight the game.

I would say that players completing this challenge will drop off by at least a 1/3 if not more.

The extra stars are possible for most players but at a price. Ranking way to fast and also the cost of the BP, which is a big let down, are the two biggest NEGATIVE factors for this challenge.

Tanki online, free MMO game ⬅️ This has got to be the biggest CLICK BAIT in internet gaming history.

And before anyone posts the inevitable "but it is free"  give yourself a reality check.

So 296 stars today: 150 (all daily missions) and 100 from one weekly mission (destroy 500 tanks) that I finished today. And 46 stars from battles today, because was lucky to get 10 days of premium from normal container.

So 1749 stars for last reward; 7 days remaining; 250 stars daily; 150 from daily missions. The other 100 stars from ? From 4-5-6 hours daily ? No thanks...

Hi Mods and Tanki Developers...

I want to say that normally I find the monthly challenges a lot of fun, however, this one is a big dissapointment because the price to unlock GOLD TIER has tripled! Why is this??

Already we have to earn 4000 stars instead of 3000, but to increase the Price from normally 500 Tankoins to 1500 Tankoins is really not fair and it is taking advantage of players in my own opinion. Also, there are 3 Augments in Gold Tier I already own, so there is yet another reason it is not worth this 1500 Tankoins (for me in that case). I notice there are 500 Tankoins to win back in this June Stage 1 Challenge... , however this is still 1000 Tankoins to pay when normally 500 Tankoins. I understand that the game owners need to earn a living but these continuous price increases and added costs are starting to become frustrating and players who have been around for years are  not happy with this sort of thing. Please keep the pricing low and fair and stop increasing it randomly. 

And lastly, whats with the only 12 actual items for each daily gift (17 daily gifts Special) ? For example... 12 speed boosts, 12 crystals?? , 12 of each supply each day is really not a gift but more of a joke. Not to seem rude but really? Its all digital goods so its not like it costs anything to create a digital good to gift to players. 12 Crystals makes zero difference on anything at all in this game. Or 12 of anything else. 

Perhaps 12,000 of each supply would have been more of a show of appreciation to the players? Don't Tanki value their birthday celebration or is it always just about the money? (12 ultra containers = very nice thank you).

Surely there are many tankers who feel the way I do. And again, its not like a digital item costs anything to share out as it is created from thin air.

Still a great game but over the many years I have been a tanker, I have noticed this unwillingness from Tanki Creators and Administrators to be MORE generous to their source of a living and who pays the bills... the Tankers! Please treat us with more graciousness, thought, generosity and make us feel like you care about us. We tankers probably all care, maybe not all, but we would not dedicate years to this game if we didn't care or didn't enjoy it.

It would be nice to also not have repeated Augments and other items showing up in Challenges that we already own. Cant an algorithm be set up so that each player can win new items?? Like with the Skin Containers?

Hey, I would totally agree that I don't like the big rise in stars required to complete the battle pass, and also the 3 times price increase for the gold tier (although I am much more annoyed about the 4000 stars for silver tier, because this makes the challenge nearly impossible for casual players to complete - and all the tankoins are at the end).

However as for the free gifts, I don't think we can say that they have been anything other than extremely generous - by far the most generous the developers have been in any Tanki birthday so far. The 12 of each supply gifts don't really matter, because we got 12 containers and 12 ultra containers on consecutive days, and we are getting 12 more ultras at the end. We also got another 12 containers from the easy 12 notes even + 14.5k crystals, and you even had a chance to earn 12 more ultras from secret party. That is 24 free containers, and 24-36 free ultras which is a lot. I agree that the 12 crystals should have been 12,000 crystals, but that is probably a literal joke from the developers lol, as that came after the mega gifts.

As for repeated augments in the battle pass, personally I like that as not everyone can get every battle pass - and they might miss an augment that they wanted. For instance I want Viking AP immunity which has already come up (but I couldn't get the pass then), and I would be annoyed if it never came up again just because it has been on the gold tier once before. Only the most dedicated buyers are able to get the pass every time.

In general though about the challenge changes I agree - I would like to see the stars reduced to 3000 again, or 3500 at most (completable with Special mission stars). The price increase for gold tier I can sort of live with, but 500 was great, even 1000 would be more reasonable. If we can at least do the silver tier that would be something, but with 4000 stars there is too much of a time requirement (or experience gain requirement also, for low ranks) to complete it for many players such as myself.

Yeah you make some good points, but I would say 500 Tankoins is plenty for a Gold Tier Unlocking. Especially since many items in Gold Tier each month I already have. So what am I really paying for then if I have stuff already? I think 500 is fair enough, especially if you are going for it every time. :)

I didnt even know about the Secret Party so I missed that one. Why make it secret? LOL. I still think that even 12 containers here and there is sort of ok, but not entirely generous. But I get that 12 crystals would have been a deliberate joke maybe. But I didnt laugh! 12 Gold boxes maybe at least.

The stars issue is always a big one. 3000 is a fair number per month but not more. Because it is very time consuming and people do not have that much time and if the devs are trying to get people addicted, then it goes beyond reasonable for fun and becomes a tedious task rather than enjoyment. Lets see if anything changes though... :)

Cosmic, I'm not saying that I approve of the developers' general strategy in relation to recent updates - for instance I was strongly and vocally critical of many such as the recent increase to 4000 stars for the challenges, and the tripling of the cost of the battle pass.

However, I think we should be thankful on those occasions when we do receive something good - which in this case we have. If we don't give positive feedback where it is due, how are we to direct the developers to what we do want? We just received a lot of cool free gifts, 1 1/2 months equivalent of special missions Ultras without having to gain exp for it, and almost a month's worth of shard containers. So that level of free gifting does level the playing field between F2P and buyers on a temporary basis at least, slightly. Still doesn't make up for the 4th module, and maxed drones needed to get full power supplies etc - but my accounts have done well out of it.

Overall I am still greatly dissatisfied with the developers' general direction when it comes to updates in the last few months, but for the free gifts during this birthday event I think we have to acknowledge they have been more generous than they needed to be, which is one good thing at least.

I aim to be a fair critic - if they do something good I will give positive feedback, but for bad changes made for potentially bad motives, I will give negative feedback. And sadly that means most of my feedback lately is negative, but for the birthday event I am thankful.
