Ideas for status effects.

At first when they released this feature, I wasn't all that pleased. But when I returned and saw all these different status effects, I'm just thinking that it was one of the coolest and most interesting features they have added into the game in recent years.

 

So I would like to add a few more. All these were basically from the final fantasy franchise by the way.

 

Blind: for 5-7 seconds, the player inflicted with this will have something on their screen blocking their view.

 

Doom: a countdown timer of 20-25 seconds will tick for the players tank destruction.

 

Regeneration: every 1-2 seconds, the player will regenerate 200-400 HP depending on the modification and MU level.

Regeneration would be inflicted by an allied isida or Ares (overdrive). Basically 1 second of healing would be 1 tick of regenerated health.

Blind can be inflicted by juggernauts OD and maybe a 15% chance by stock hammer and stock twins?

Doom can be inflicted Viking OD (by the shot of the turret 15% chance), Ares OD, mammoth OD (by the shot of the turret 15% chance rate), and maybe a 15% chance by stock thunder and stock rail gun?

 

Isida and Ares OD would be the only things that can remove blind and doom.

Would you kindly elaborate your idea. It is not incomplete but would you kindly explain through what means the status effects you've proposed would be inflicted?

Sorry I didn't have time yesterday, was in a bit of a rush.

Instead of blind I would suggest something like a radar jam that wouldn't let the players see parts of the battle interface like telling apart teammates from enemies, health bars, kill log, flags, points, etc. This would be a perfect addition to hornet.

For fun, i decided to create colors for the status effects, since every status effect has one.

Hmmm. I don't know how useful preventing someone from seeing their kills, frags, and points is.

Nice idea! This Status Effect can maybe make a rectangle-shaped ink on the screen.

It can be black so the player cannot see for some time!

A Blind Immunity Augment can allow us to always see the screen!

This can be a very unique and awesome counter Status Effect for players who are over-powered.

(They have Defender Drone, Crisis, our Protection Modules, Defensed Heavy Hull, ...)

If players get this Status Effect, they can have about half a minute to finish capturing a flag/ball, etc.

With Doom Immunity Augment, we can be protected by this!

Cool! This Status Effect can last for around 5 seconds and heal up to 1500 HP.

But since this is a positive Status Effect, I'm not sure if it will have an Immunity with it.

Any ideas?

 

Also, we have to choose which Turrets, Hulls, and Overdrives will get these new Status Effects!

You missed one... "And more ways to spend TKs to counter yet another effect."

Kind of important one.

You realize the more status effects added to the game, the more the buyers will have an advantage, since they will obtain the immunity to that status effect much, much earlier.

So you can have your doubts - but you'd be wrong.

These are the game wreckers.

1 Flying cheat.

2 EMP.

3 AP.

4 Turrets that stun.

5 Not being able to upgrade if you have the ability to get the next MK level (this was as calculated as the devs get to shafting a whole bunch of players.)

6 The list is endless, the devs have broken the game in favour of P2W ONLY and it will only get worse.

7 Best if you have a slight re-think, because all of the above and way more I have not mentioned have killed the game big time.

I purposely ditched this point. I mean its pretty obvious why. All I need to say is that it'll benefit the devs salary.

Honestly, I think the immunity augments should be removed or converted into resistance augments, and then give resistance augments microupgrades.

Before I left, battles in the high ranks just felt unplayable because everyone had multiple layers of protection equipped, making them really hard to kill them normally (without using OD).

The AP status effect really helped out with that problem. The jammer is also a cool concept.

 

I think the problem with status effects, believe it or not, comes back to turret augments.
