striker augment improvement(Uranium)

Recommended Posts

This augment has a 50% increase in damage with the compensation of slower projectile speed and larger gaps between the arcade mode shots. It is a good augment but landing a hit on moving targets is really difficult. This is not about speed but I want to say that this Augment should be allowed to deal critical hit with a increase in 25% of damage.

This augment is powerful enough, making it even stronger isn't a good idea.

Uranium makes the rockets slower, but 1.5 times stronger.

We don't want to make them faster or else players can't dodge them half the time.

Giving Critical to Striker's Uranium Augment can allow it to one-shot players. It used to Critical and one-shot, before the removal of Uranium's Critical!

So it is very powerful right now. You can get to a medium ranged spot and make many kills even without Critical.

I have made a lot with around 3 shots. Less with Double Damage!

Uranium is best suited for close to medium range, overall it is better to use heavy damaging arcade shots on enemies that are in proximity. Acquisition mode works as well but you will need to be more patient; however, after firing a salvo your turret reloads quicker and you get to quickly fire a fourth rocket.

Critical damage was removed because if a Uranium-user were to fire a critical projectile within its own splash-zone they would lose 2640 (Mk8) health points - no drugs or drones taken into account - which is enough to kill the user instantly if they had equipped a light-hull and even a medium with some depleted health.
Let's make things even crazier: firing a critical rocket under the effects of Booster would cause a total of 10560 damage, if timed correctly an entire salvo with one additional rocket (= 4) would deal a massive 42240 damage  - of course the latter situation would only occur under ideal circumstances, but on paper something like that should not exist.
