Overdrive resistance

This resistance makes the hull immune to: Wasp bomb explosion, mammoth overdrive, hunter EMP pulse, hopper stun and fire damage, crusader freeze pulse, ares ball and hornet AP ability. It will not protect against viking, dictator and titan overdrives since they do not effect the hull directly. Jamming will still be applied and every other damage from turrets will still occur. This resistance is only to ignore direct damage that is applied by an enemy's hull overdrive.

Since this resistance may be OP, It will be only an exotic item from ultra container and cannot be bought or received elsewhere. For every hull the overdrive resistance needs to be obtained separately

This already exists. It's called: EMP immunity, AP immunity, heat immunity, stun immunity. Do you want to combine them? I have a better idea. Make am effect immunity, so you are immune to all effects in the game including damage, status effects, impact force. And make it UT exclusive. But you can also name it how to destroy a game in few days immunity.

I really agree with you. Overdrives are something which actually give F2P a tiny chance to rival those with OP equipment. I do not really like the idea of introducing an OD immunity. It would only make the strong, stronger and the weak, weaker. Apart from this, we have plenty of immunities right now to actually counter the most annoying aspects of Overdrives so, I don't see a need for this.:ph34r:

We already have the simple Status Effects and Resistance Modules for the game.

Like the people said above, if we combine and make this kind of Resistance Module, then it can be very bad for F2P players since P2W players will try to get this new, over-powered Overdrive Resistance Module!

So what we have now is already good. It's one Status Effect Resistance/Immunity Module that we can equip at a time.

Do hunter and hornet overdrives deal damage to enemies? If not, then why have you listed these two hulls along with wasp, mammoth and ares?

Hunter does EMP and stuns and Hornet does AP. Both of them effect the behavior of the tank due to being applied.

If you have Overdrive resistance you will suffer heat, cold, AP, EMP, stun, and everything that is applies by turrets. Your tank will have immunity only to overdrives not to turrets. You will suffer greatly from anything that is applied not by overdrives.

So why have Jammer immunity only given from ultra containers at legendary tier?

I get the statement that the game will be more P2W. So you can add it also to regular containers in the exotic tier. These containers can be achieved quite easily for F2P players while completing missions.

Since the Jammer Status Effect is pretty new, it will be in Ultra Containers for right now.

I think later, Developers put them also in Containers when they are more older and when we have other new items.

Plus, we don't need Jammer Immunity that much right now. Only a few things in the game cause the Jammer Status Effect like Hunter and Wasp's OD.

This is thinking like a Dev:

Something is op in the game? Make something to counter that op thing.

Both items are super op? Put them where only buyers can obtain them.

 

We need to avoid doing this.
