I did forward the question but didn't get an answer, I apologize for that. Since the event is over, the topic is no longer relevant. But anyways, you needed to use the chat in order to take a part (spectators were giving instructions to the players)

@mjmj5558 The only condition is that your minimum rank should be Major and you should be ready to play in the battle at the announced time with no delays. If you are chosen by the randomiser after applying at the special website, they will contact you at another special website and will give you further details. If an eSports checker must be necessary, then they will tell you in the details. So, if you get selected you will be told if you can play on a phone or not.

No matter on which version you play on, you must be one of the 14 players selected to play in the actual battle. If you do get chosen, then I believe you are allowed to play on whatever version of the game. There are no rules that state which version of the game the participant of the event must play on, so I'm guessing all versions are allowed. 

But if it's announced later that eSports checker must be used, then you will not be allowed to participate on mobile.

Yes, exatly that's why I am asking. I do not want to registrate (and the get selected to to away the space from others) if I'm not allowed to (because of the checker or other, not stated reasons).

I will wait till an official answer to see.
