Reduce protection by dealing damage

hi 

I have an idea about reducing protection by receiving damage from the turret that your are getting dmg from it. Like if you get dmg from railgun, your railgun protection will be reduced by a certain number base of amout of dmg you take. 

Note: Your prodection will be reset after you got destoyed.

The reason this idea came to my mind is that, as you know, having a lot of protection against each  kind of turret makes that turret compeletly useless. However, the imbalance of some turrets also causes us to see a lot of protection against it like railgun or shaft .

And for this reason, the game should be in order to balance the damage of some turrets, which in the absence of protection against them, inflict insane damage.

Edit: I think this idea can be added to the game also as a augment for each turret like by you using that augment you decrease your enemies protection by a certain percentage.

I personally disagree with this, The reason that the mass of people have rail and shaft protection is that they are to op. That goes for any turret, not just rail and shaft.  And also, from wht i understand of ur idea, your protection will reduce the % of protection to that turret, the more damage u take from it. This would not be fare to the people that dont have 50% protections yet. There protection would lower faster that those with 50%. Overall I dont like this idea

You could make use of the armor-piercing status effect which basically removes all protection of all affected tanks or use Adrenaline augments (they are not the best in my opinion) which increase the damage of the turret the more damage you take.

I actually really like Adrenaline augments, especially for Isida. The only disadvantage Adrenaline augments have is that you must be low on HP in order to deal more damage, which is fine considering that it would happen regardless.

I was just looking for a solation for To save the turrets that see maximum protection in front of them. Shooting at an enemy that has 50% protection against you, plus the supplies and drones he uses, causes an unequal battle .

As you can see, I mentioned that players have to use protection against some turrets like shaft and railgun because of their imbalance, and this imbalance must be fixed by the developers. In the next case you mentioned, the maximum should be set to reduce protection against damage, such as the maximum protection that can be reduced by entering damage is 25 percent .And do not forget that in order to be able to achieve the maximum protection available to reduce the protection of the enemy, you must be able to deal the same amount of damage to the enemy and this will not be so easy. (although this is an example and I do not have much experience in the field of game balance and Game developers can handle this better) and Also in order that this idea to occur for non buyer players, a minimum of protection must be set so that if a player, for example, has less than 25% protection, her protection will not be reduced.

Strongly disagree, I do see that you want to solve the module vs turret issue. Modules already got hard countered by the recent Critical damage update. But this suggestion you are making, that just render modules absolutely useless.

A part of the game is knowing which enemies to shoot. For example, if there are 2 enemies next to you and one has 50% against your turret and the other one doesn't, you should the one without the protection module. In case there are many players with protection modules against your turret, simply change your combo.

With that being said, the status of the idea was changed to Declined.

We already have Pierce Augments we can obtain to do our regular damage and defeat the enemy faster.

 

If we implement this idea, it would be very bad because there would be little point on upgrading the Protection Modules.

People with 25% or even 50% Protection will not feel protected by that Turret, because it will just destroy its protection slowly AND destroy it faster.

So reducing protection is not a good idea.

Protection Modules are used to help the player feel safer around the specific weapons they find a threat.
