Wasp and hopper should swap ODs.

To solve both their issues, I think that wasp should get the jumping ability, it'd be enough to jump over a building or a few small props. And it wouldn't fly either. It can have an OD charge time of 1 minute and 40 seconds.

While hopper should first be renamed to scout and get the bomb ability, with an OD charge time of 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

I am declining this idea(ideas actually) due to various reasons. It is unnatural for a tracked hull to jump. Do not tell me that there are plenty in the game already which are not logical, as that it no good reason to remove existing logic. Secondly you are suggesting renaming hopper as well, which results in more than one idea in one topic. Your suggestion is more like "make a new hovering hull with wasp OD and make a tracked hull which can fly" rather than rework current hulls. The changes you propose are way to drastic. I don't suppose you actually understand. It is not Hopper's OD which is the problem but the combination of Lightweight construction, with crisis and Plasma Torch augment for ricochet which allows the hull to fly.

Well you can literally fly with most of the light and medium hulls if you have crisis. Though you cannot stay in mid-air for long, you can still reach a lot of places which otherwise would only be possible with Hopper's OD.

Wasp and Hopper have had their respective overdrives for long enough, to change them entirely. You just cannot give them entirely new Overdrives just out of blue By the way I do not know the issue with Wasp's nuke you were speaking about.

Again, the developers wanted Hopper to be the gold hunting hull. So that's the reason why its overdrive is what it is.

Then that combination should be a bannable violation.

That's why I said it would fly. Do you not understand the difference between flying and jumping?

Flying means over the whole map for long periods of time, which is what hopper does. While hopper requires a specific combo to pull it off, its still a possibility. Hoppers without the required combo, is more likely gliding.

And in case if you don't know, Gliding is starting at peak height and  steadily going down as you travel further.

Jumping means going up until peak height and then coming down at about the same rate, which was what I was trying to suggest for wasp.

And again gold boxes are the reason for this horrible addition? Just like when they nerfed mammoth and hunter into oblivion.

Gold boxes have always seem to be the main reason for alot of the bad updates that happen in this game. They should just remove that toxic feature.

Pardon me, my bad. Ah yeah it is unnatural for a tracked hull to even jump. You can also use lightweight wasp and crisis to boost your jump to such an extent that you can call it flying instead. I intended to say jump but....

Yeah, I've corrected it.

Not something I can do but yet again I do not find them as annoying as you say they are. I am not ruling out the fact that they are annoying but just saying that they are not as annoying as you describe they are.

You are just calling one of the most beloved items, and those which have been in the game for like 12 years now, toxic, just because you find one hull, which has been introduced to make this art of gold box hunting easy, annoying beyond imagination when paired with a particular drone and augment.

It is also unnatural for "armor piercing shots" to "disable" one's armor for a set period of time, but give the affected target their armor back afterwards as if nothing happened. (Armor piercing shots are supposed to be projectiles that always pierce through armor - the only way to stop them is to equip resistances against armor piercing projectiles like AP immunity, but they don't "inflict" some "status effect" for a limited time...)

I do not understand what you are trying to prove. It is not me who made them the way they are. Secondly just because we already have a few stuff which do not obey the laws of physics doesn't mean we go creating or doing stuff which break them further.

The fact that it still dominates battles irrespective of gold drops should in itself be a good enough reason for the devs to curb It's total domination, especially in cap mode battles were it is still the main reason battles are ended well before the time limit has expired.

Because it IS toxic. Look at how many of those that didn't catch it react. Some just rage quit while other spew insults and provocations at the players who caught the gold box.

Its also the reason why mammoth lost its invincibility and hunters supply cool down ability went from 30 seconds down all the way to 5 seconds.

My pal, that's totally due to the nature or mentality of the person. You do not have to rage quit just because you couldn't manage to catch a box. Anyway that's off topic discussion. ?

I still find it really dumb that some major balance changes were influenced by such a useless distraction

 

But anyway you're right, its off topic.
