Solution to unbalanced MM battles

We have been continuously seeing unbalanced MM battles in past few months, where people with 9k GS have to fight up with 6k GS that ruins the gameplay. We see legend rankers playing with warrant officers, and in fact legends with 6k GS playing among 9k GS. 
       
There are 2 problems which cause such unbalance:
1. Due to continuous ultra weekends, due to double xp, players reach to legend quite fast and easily but without good equipments and good Gear Score.
2. Due to introduction of large maps like Dusseldorf, Berlin and Lost Temple, the maps include many players with vast ranks.

       
I have a solution to this problem:
The MM system should be based on the GS equipped by the players rather than the ranks, which will have stability and fair gameplay. In case there aren't many players with a certain GS slot, then small maps should be created for the given GS slot so that there is no instability in gameplay.
 

NOTE: Pro battles should played as they're, that is the making of maps should be Ranks based only, this suggestion was only for Matchmaking to improve it.
Please comment down below if you like the suggestion ?. More suggestions are also welcomed regarding the same.

Developers already explained once, why they aren't preferring MM based on GS.  A legend can just enter the battle with less GS combo and then change to his higher grade equipment.

Oh yes, it's surely a valid point, but have they come up with any ideas to improve the current MM system?

Well, I don't really know if its on their list or not so yeah ?

Well they know about it. But they're leaving it as is until enough players spend money on that item, and then they'll nerf it and make another item OP. Basically they are milking the cow.

Maybe they can add a GS limit in a GS Based MM system where people can take a max amount of gs only keeping it stable so if someone wants to take high gs he would leave and join high gs battle.?

Good answer. Now that's all cleared up I don't see a problem with MM.

Can they disable weapon changes in such cases? Players can decide whether to play rank based battles or GS based battles, and the GS based battles will have weapon changes disabled. Maybe this point can be considered

But isn't that unfair to be not able to change equipment? You can no longer change your protection according to opponent's turrets and immunities according to the augments they have. It will become really painful and everything will be based of luck. If you are lucky enough, your opponents will have turrets you have equipped protection against. I would really not like this.

Yes creating 2 types of MM is good but I think that it'd be a waste of resources and time. Instead the present MM can be improved so as to reduce the rank differences etc.
