"Status Updates" used to be displayed right on the forum profile page back when we had the old forum version, so there were strict rules about who could use them and for what purpose. But since we upgraded the forum engine, I struggle to even remember how to access that feature since it's so hidden. If I recall correctly, only admins can post status messages, but all helpers can reply to any status update, and anyone can react to either of them.

Logical explanation is that helpers of the game have more perms than the standard accounts.

Maybe... I remember another such case when @Defender or someone did the same thing, telling about the player's inability to reply because of no activity or something... I wanna get answers from @Iron_Man to be sure.

UPDATE:

oh look @Maf got a whole lot of them...

Thanks, i didn't know that. I think the only time i saw this feature used is when defender or one of the head admins left the game.

What was the use of this feature on the old forum, by the way?

Just a one-line information panel for people opening the profile. I remember I had something similar to the one posted above: "Forum administrator. Curator of I&S". Ostrica used it to say that she only replies to PMs about chat stuff and nothing else. Some admins used it to say when they're unavailable and for how long.

We weren't allowed to use it for lulz like my discord statuses these days
