I don't really understand why he still carries the flag, the tanker doesn't have any more "hands" to carry the flag, so he should just drop it

I can understand where this is coming from. However, in many situation I don't drop the flag when I am flipped on purpose because I am waiting for a teammate to come and pick it up. I am basically wasting time so the enemy team won't capture the flag.

Disagree with the idea, agree with Spy, there might be enemies close to us, and might grab the flag, which is why I think it should be  be upto the player having flag, to drop it or to wait for the perfect moment, and then drop it when he feels like.
