Directs hits on the backside of tank stuns

Recommended Posts

This is a direct topic for hopper, but affects everyone that is hited on backside of tank

Normally  i think that it should be a recourse, since the tank was affected on the " heart" of the tank

So should have one interaction like a stun after receive an force IMPACT of any recourse

Tankers hited are stunned for 3 seconds

Due to the lack of aiming precision in this game (with exception of Shaft sniping), making damage depend on the part of the tank that's hit is impractical. Also, due to the fast-paced gameplay, doing this would do more bad than good. In fact, I'm not sure what good it would do at all, especially considering that it's a resource-intensive feature that would take time to develop.

But if something like this does get added, it would make a lot more sense to have critical damage in weak spots, instead of a stun or another status effect.

I wonder how you can come up with some of the worst ideas possible

Well he is just using imagination + a little reality. Nothing wrong. I the a few reall5 crazy ideas too but I kept them to myself, knowing if the devs got wind of them and implement then the game will be unbalanced further.

Honestly, it isn't needed. Would only make playing without Immunities impossible.

Pretty sure nobody likes this.

Im sure that will be rare because what i mean is the middle of backside , so i mean like that circle point on backside of hopper ( in general only magnum in most conditions will get it because rarelly light hulls flip) and when a tanker is starting to fall most of times only the back of backside of the tank is vunerable to ne shoted, so it wil be needed a good angle to stun your oponnent like in an graphic x and y that you have to be in a lower positions against your oponnent

I really dont think it, the impact its already calculated on every side of the tank, everything that need to do is code on the ball center of backside of hopper and every other hull for not only receive the conditions and math calc, but an stun too( i agree with the crit but i fell like an status effect should be more interesting than an twins only deal his damage "without be stopped by his module" in 1 shot)

No, it's only calculated as a "yes" or "no" value for whether or not the shot hit the tank. To add distinction between the different sides of the tank would require significant rework of the way damage is calculated, yet this change will neither improve gameplay, nor be a new way to monetise the game.

1) why stun and why the middle of the back?

2) So any turret with reload < 3 seconds will be able to keep a target stunned until it's destroyed?

Thumbs down to this idea.

And besides - there's already enough status effects as it is.  We don't need more of them to make playing the game extra frustrating.

Sorry but awful idea. In Tanki X hits on the back of the hull provided extra damage, and I did not like that, since I very often drive backwards. I can't even imagine getting stunned when being shot by a random bullet fired somewhere.

(well, that already happens with some augments... sigh)

But what if there was a status effect that prevents enemies from inflicting status effects?
