Can you get kill credit for pushing an opponent off the map?

I recently pushed an opponent in a lighter-weight hull off a cliff into the edge-of-map minefield where he blew up.  Do I get kill credit for that as if I had shot him?

No, as it is not in the list of the ways to gain experience points.

Unfortunately not - this is recorded as the player self-destructing. They will get a death added and lose 10 battle points, but nothing happens on your end because the game doesn't know it was you that caused them to leave the map.

Of course, it's still a strategic move and will likely help your team.
