Changing nickname

Hello, i have created a "trash" account long time ago, when the update for shard came out, just for the pleasure of opening containers, on this account i got my dream paint "diamond" it is a godlike paint and i got lots of crystals 500k which i used yesterday in black friday so now the acc is OP, however i dont like the nickname i chose for that account so i wanted to ask 2 questions:

1: how long i have to wait to create another account with the same nickname? The account is warrant officer 1 (so that account would be renamed by ex r_trashacc1 and maybe i could change it for free im not sure btw)

2: would i be able to change the nickname for free if i do what i mentionned above?

I have found all answers i needed into this topic however i think it might be outdated, in a note it says that if i purchase crystals, the nickname is no available to claim for 3 years but i think since the introduction of tankoins a f2p player can purchase the lowest amount of tankoins for 75 tankoins on a sale. So i wanted to ask, to keep a nickname safe, do i still have to buy crystals or i have to buy anything WITH real money? Like if i bought the combo pass, is the nickname safe for 3 years?

1. Depends the rank you have to wait a period of time for your nickname to be available and in the same time i think you should not log on the account for the nickname to be avaiable. If your account is Warrant officer 1 you should wait 110 days which is 3 and half months for it. (you can check the list for all ranks here https://en.tankiwiki.com/Nicknames?attempt=1) 

2. You would be able to change the name for free at new account but at the old account the name is gonna be different like r_trashacc1 like you did mention before if you have linked your email with TO you can contact TO support for a nick change after i think at the old account. (im not 100% sure about it by the way)

there's a way of changing you user name legaly with out paying, i think only i figured that out

Yes i know it, you doesnt log in your acc in a while, then you create an account with the same nick, and finnaly you ask support to change the nick for free, everyone know that

As far as I know, you must buy something with real money to keep the nickname safe for 3 years.

You have to buy with real money to keep the nickname safe for 3 years.
