In the first digital entry, someone mistook the year, or even took a photo from last year ... but when it comes to fourth place, it's probably a joke. This is a stolen image that was created for a contest similar to this but in Tanki X in 2017, just like CaptainMaxwell7 said.

I agree with what has been said, while I respect all the work that all participants have done something seems very wrong here. Just look at the quality of @nidjo's work. How under any standards of judging is he not the clear winner in the digital category? But didn't even get runner up? I don't understand at all, that makes no sense.

 

Also @Volturo and @Dr.Isida should be in contention for first place in the physical category, both look great :) However in Dr. Isida's case that must have been because she came 2nd in the Russian community contest, so that's fair. Volturo though I think should have won, glad ge got runners up at least but should have been higher.

And how impressed other helpers Spy and Nkunj are with his work. We all know he deserved to win, how did he not even get runners up? Did he submit too late? Some explanations needed.

 

If I was ever thinking about entering the art contests I am afraid I wouldn't after seeing this, because it seems very unfair.

Looking at the time of Nidjo's post on Wednesday he might actually have been late? If that was why, then my bad :p Although harsh if he was only a little late.

Many real-life cards have no writing on the front and just an image, but it even has 2022 on the lamp.

Would you really say that all 7 digital entries (including the 2 runners-up) are better than nidjo's entry? And that he didn't even deserve runner-up? He said he put in 3 - 4 days work into it when I met him in one battle today - just imagine putting in that work, and seeing how your entry is as good quality or better as all the top entries, then getting not even a runners up prize.

I really think it is so unfair, I personally wouldn't think of entering the art contests after seeing this. I am surprised to see there has been no news yet that he is awarded a prize anyway, because there is obviously a mistake. If there is not, in my opinion it is a waste of time to enter - if you can spend days on your piece, be clearly better than all other entries in a category, and yet not even get runner up.

I think I shouldn't have said they don't deserve to win. Based on effort and maybe even art maybe they do. What I was thinking is why they weren't selected by the judges, but looking again at the entries that won I think there could have been room for others, because some that won are not "cards" either, however I don't how judges are supposed to judge.

On the digital side I like the 2nd better than the 1st, but I agree with the top 3, in my untrained opinion.

Nidjo's work looks nice, the tracked gift cart is the thing. If there was a Tanki almanac this image could go well with the month of December.

Hopefully admins take into consideration the complains.

But let's us consider as well that the contest is open for all players in Tanki, where we have players of different ages. So we shouldn't dismiss work that clearly comes from kids in favor to those that clearly come from teens or even older folks. This could be part of the judgement, where they look for other things to judge.

I agree with that, but there are two problems:

1. Announcement of the contest should state that older more experienced artists have less chances to win so that younger less skilled artists can compete

2. Look at the winners of the digital category in the Russian community, especially the first two, they are obviously created by very experienced artists. It’s amazing what they created. I can only dream of creating artworks on that level.
