Kills stealing in the game

One of the most things people complain and insult in chat, kills stealing. Especially in DM event modes, chat is completely filled of such complaints. I think most people see they get their kills stolen more than they steal other people kills. And honestly though I mostly tend to have wise thinking and try as much as I can to see things from other perspective, but I can't pass this. I see players steal my kills more than I steal other kills.

While I think most of the people think this way, and complain from this. Then who is the thief?   So the question do you see you get your kills stolen more than you still other kills?

Believe much of this has to do with your choice of turret. Some turrets are simply much better at finishing-off enemies than the rest, while others are good at dealing tons of damage to many enemies at a time, which may not prove to be lethal, by itself, to any of them.

I do not want to state specific examples, but  it was observable nicely in the arms race events, where you would sprint through some turrets in seconds, just to get stuck on others, not able to claim a single fatality.

I may be wrong, but those are my two cents on the topic.

I think it is something which is inevitable and I can't see the point of complaining about it

I'm not going to stop shooting at an enemy tank because someone thinks they are the only player that is allowed to shoot at it

Some players just shoot blindly without noticing their surrounding, then their kills are getting stolen. My best advice for such players would be to be patient and wait for the right opporunity to shot. But I have to admit that it is really annoying when someone else finishes off a player you were fighting with.

True, some players think it works in a way of "first to come first to serve kill"

Agree.

All in all I enjoy team modes more than DM, that's why I don't participate much in DM maps. Nothing to complain about though...

I really enjoy DM. You see, I am actually the "thief" the OP was talking about. ?

When I am in DM mode I will steal kill. Feels more satisfying to take the kill knowing how mad a person would get because I stole his/her kill. Can't blame me because its DM, every man for himself.

Also what feels even more satisfying is also 3rd partying when a container drops and destroy everyone on site before they get the gold and I camp near it until someone gets close enough and I take it. ?

Tanki X game had a system which gave you points based on the damage you dealt to the destroyed enemy as well as some bonus points for the player who destroyed the enemy. So, even if you dealt about 90% damage to the enemy before your teammate destroyed the enemy tank, you will get a good portion of battle points for your actions while your teammate will get battles points for dealing 10% damage and some bonus points for getting the kill.

We did have that system a couple years back. It still exists in PRO battles if I'm not mistaken.

I also actively try to steal kills in DM, and if I catch myself forgetting to do so I metaphorically slap myself for playing in a braindead manner. Also I clap for people who manage to steal my kills, although certainly it can be annoying if it happens too much. It will generally only happen too much if your equipment is really underpowered relative to everyone else - or if you almost always pick targets which will probably take a long time to kill, but fail to recognise easier targets, such as those with low HP/supplies on cd.

But definitely kill stealing has to be one of the much needed aspects of strategy in DM, to make it more interesting. Does make the challenge to get that #1 spot/ top 3 require more tactical play (for those with good enough equipment to compete, of course).
