Should chat moderators (and bans) be removed?

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE MAD ABOUT A BAN!!!

I will be honest, chat moderators are quite pointless in tanki online.

  • They play favorites and ban
  • They do nothing helpful
  • If their favorite player starts a fight and breaks a ton of rules, they only tell others to hide messages

Chat bans should be removed too. Here is a few reasons why.

  • Players can't use the vote option
  • People still find ways to break the rules regardless of if they are banned or not
  • Pro battles cannot be made
  • Most of the time the ban is much longer than deserved.

Tanki is supposed to be a kid-friendly game and seeing what I see, it really isn't. Most people who play already know all the bad words. The moderators say that hiding messages solves every chat problem, so that's a good reason why they aren't necessary!

Chat moderators' main task is to guide players and answer their questions, which they do on a daily basis. Chat moderators are always meant to be fair and ban anyone who breaks the rules, even their friends and family members. If you think you were banned unfairly, you should contact one of the Chat Administrators via Forum PM.

As to bans themselves;

  • Valid point - this point was already brought up in the I&S section earlier, however I don't know what's the developers' prespective about it.
  • Violators who attempt to bypass the their ban will receive harsher punishments. In the real world, you don't just stop enforcing the laws just because some people try to break them over and over.
  • It is a part of the punishment of being banned.
  • Chat moderators have their own rules and guidelines regarding bans and their duration. As mentioned above, please contact a Chat Administrators in case you believe your ban is longer than it should be.

It doesn't matter if people who play the game "know all the bad words" - when you play a game, you are expected to follow its rules. If the rules forbid fuel language, you shouldn't use "bad words".

Additionally, it is forbidden to discuss about moderators' actions publicly.
