Seeing heating issues recently while playing the game

 Share

Question

I have been playing the game since a long time on my Macbook air M1 (2020), but only recently I have been observing the laptop getting heated during a battle, I have seen the temperature going up to 43°C. Is anyone else seeing this too?

Maybe the graphics a bit too high? Tanki is making ‘improvements’ to the game’s visuals.
or maybe it’s the heatwave in Europe effecting u ;D

Temperatures of above 70 °C are considered as hot, anything below should be safe. Make sure that your MacBook has enough room to breathe, and you're good

Just 43 degrees? That's actually GREAT.
You could try using a cooling pad while playing, it helps in reducing temps.

Try cleaning your laptop physically like blowing air in it and cleaning off dust
Also try closing background processes

One more thing - If you're experiencing heating problems after using your laptop for a while, you might want to get the thermal paste changed (Although it's gonna cost you, cos you know, Apple...)

Hey thanks for the advise but it only happens while playing tanki, I render 8k graphics too and it works smoothly without any problem.

Thanks for the advice but It's only a 1 and half year old laptop I hope as far as hardware and pastings are concerned it should be still holding good.
