The best combo vs. the combo you find more fun - which is more enjoyable in the long run?

When I say fun I mean that it seems to feel better and be more fun to play with, but as the question asks, might not be as fun in the long run if you know there's a combo for your playstyle that makes you better.

Rail hornet used to be my fun and only combo, until thunder and hammer can one shot kill you, 

Then my fun combo is isida titan, super relax and heal and camp at base, no more fighting and good experience gain

Then my fun combo is twins viking, shoot no stop.

Then my combo gauss titan/crusade with emp since i got quite early from container

Then my combo smoky crusade AP because gauss nerf

Now my combo is shaft ares because campping saving supplies and lots of easy kill for mission and ares OD update

Sometime i use thunder/hammer with mammoth because of new augment coming out.

Whenever they have new augment, like rico helio, i can have fun for a while before nerf
