declined PRO battles Discord Bot

As tanki is not going to add pro battles to mobile in the next few months, I thought of This idea that can benefit both pc and mobile players :)).

I am not really sure if this would be possible, so this is kinda a shot into the dark for me. 

here it is: how about tanki making a discord bot that records whatever battles are available in the pro battles at that current moment? So for example,  I type in pb/xpbp in the bot area, and the discord bot will load all the battles in the xpbp section of the pro battles. It will show 5 at a time, with info like number of teammates, maps, and flags required to win. By choosing one (press 1-5) the bot will send a link to the user. Pressing the link loads the person into the battle lobby, and the user will be able to join at his discretion! Of course if there are more than 5 battles available, then it will work like the dank memer shop, where you can go to the 'next page'. 

commands includes:

pb/pb = basically pro battles/PRO battles

pb/classics = pro battles: classics section

pb/xpbp or pb/rm =PRO battles: xpbp section or PRO battles: railgun master master

pb/esports =pro battles: esports section

pb/parkours = PRO battles: parkour section

of course if it is impossible for the bot to monitor the game, this whole idea is invalid. But if it can monitor the ratings, I thought maybe it might be able to monitor the whole game

Discord bots require development and maintenance, so who's gonna invest the resources to do it? And what's the return on this investment? More importantly, why should it be a discord bot, when devs could instead implement a proper feature inside the game?

Besides, you're narrowing down the already small Tanki playerbase to an extremely niche selection of players, who are:
- On Discord, AND
- Regularly play PRO battles, AND
- Care a lot about selecting a suitable battle, AND
- Care enough about selecting a suitable battle to frequently use a bot designed for it

Considering that most Tanki players are from CIS countries and don't even use Discord, I'm gonna guess that the total target audience for such a bot is around 50 people.

I'll forward the idea to devs anyway.

Because the developers would take a long time to do it; therefore I was actually hoping some players could band up to do it

additionally it will be easier for mobile players like me to use lol

was actually hoping to add the bot to a server if it ever gets completed so l the mobile parkourists there will be able to use it. It's a lot easier to use imo, a lot more convenient than loading up the client on the phone browser every time you wanna play PRO battles. Also saves a lot of battery life.

So the solution is to create a proper PRO battle menu in the mobile version, rather than creating some weird workaround with a Discord bot.

It's not a case of taking years to actually implement it, but more about the task priority list. They're simply not working on it, because there are more important updates to release before it, such as graphics modernisation, security upgrades, and items that directly generate revenue.

Whether it's a discord bot or an in-game feature, it would take a long time to add either way, because it's low on the priority list. But if devs were to implement it at all, might as well do it properly the first time, so that they wouldn't have a tool which depends on a third-party service (Discord) to work, and which most of the players aren't able to use anyway.

Not a bad idea, as tanki may prolong the process before implementing it, or because they don't want custom battles for mobile players do to the target audience. It's good to have this bot that load the battles URLs, it's not an AI bot, just a bot to do a one specific task.  I don't see what's the wrong from adding another way to access the game,

He's not narrowing the tanki playerbase.  He suggesting a bot that load PRO battles list and give URLs.  Like if he want to enter a parkour battle or something.

I'm talking about the bot's target audience. How many people are gonna use it regularly? The only people using it will be those, who fit ALL of the criteria I listed in my post above. And my estimate is that it will be something like 50 people. It's not worth developing a complex discord bot for 50 people.

I just meant it to be an other way of accessing the game, like the steam version or the miniclip.  Many players will sometimes go to it, not just the regular PRO players. 

Your criteria is exaggerating to be honest, take it simple:  let's assume mobile players are 35% of PC players, I just went to PRO and counted players they're 285, mobile players will be roughly 100 players, at this time of the day. which is I consider it as the second climax of tanki players through the day 10AM-3PM.  The highest climax of the day is on 3PM-9PM, UTC +3:00.   So they're approximately 300-500 mobile players a day. 

So mobile players will download discord if they don't have, no problem.   But a more realistic solution is telegram bot, which I think is easier and many more people are using it.

Jokes aside though, I don't know what is and isn't possible with Discord bots, but I've seen them do some really cool stuff. As long as developers provide the necessary API (i.e. give the possibility to let the bot see inside the game, and, for example, read the status of PRO battles), I think a bot like this could totally be possible to make. It would be difficult and time-consuming, but possible.

Why do tanki create a discord bot who visit our tanki then collect data?  They can just provide the info in a sheet form and give it to the bot.  Like in example creating a special link: http://www.tankionline.com/battlelist, the bot enter the link and see the data in raw form, then just send it to discord.     Actually I believe developers already have something like that to monitor and collect data.

It's usually not as simple as "they can just". A proper API still needs to be created. Anyway, the idea itself is cool, but I already explained in my previous posts the reasons why this won't be implemented, even if it's technically possible.
