What do you think about the odd new game chat limitations?

Recreantly I just got banned for attempting to say the "s" word on the game chat (which was uncensored and ok to use not a long time ago)

I recommend you to look at the new rules of using the game chat and see how messed up they are, for example:

• If you argue with your friend and the conversation gets heated (even though you used no cursing words) you could get banned for 6 months
• If you hate the current state of the game and criticize it in the chat (for example: "This game became bad over the years" "This sucks") you could get banned for 24 hours (Such chat writing is considered "unconstructive criticism" and will not be tolerated)
• If you forget  ask your friend about things that already exist in the forum (for example: "On which rank do crystal boxes stop falling?") you could get banned for 24 hours

 

Am I the only one to think this is absurd? especially the part of unconstructive criticism, like, who the hell are you to decide what is considered unconstructive? 

Are devs and moderators don't want to see negative criticism because they can't "take the heat" and acknowledge how players feel about Tanki those days?

This is Absolutely  ridicules and reflects another example of the game steep decline in popularity and fame

Yes, insults are against the rules, and a message doesn't have to contain profanity to be an insult.

I think there must be a misunderstanding here. Chat mods never banned players for asking innocent questions, unless you go out of your way to spam the question everywhere. But in that case you get banned for spam, not for asking questions.

I think there must be a misunderstanding here. Chat mods never banned players for asking innocent questions, unless you go out of your way to spam the question everywhere. But in that case you get banned for spam, not for asking questions.

The key word is "unconstructive criticism", which is different from "negative criticism". Constructive criticism is welcome and we have official communication channels where you can express it.

Who decides what is unconstructive criticism??? I cannot call someone a noob if they cannot turn their turret but are max level.

Moderators decide, mostly by applying common sense, which you can do too. I recommend starting with the definitions:

Constructive criticism:
Focus on providing constructive feedback, supported by specific examples, to help you improve in some area. Constructive criticism should be offered in a friendly manner with good intentions.

Unconstructive criticism:
Not serving to promote improvement or advancement. Unconstructive advice doesn't help you figure out what to do, and unconstructive criticism is generically critical, without giving you any ideas for how to make it better.

You cannot. Calling someone a "noob" is an insult.
Except if it's a joke, but I'd be careful with insulting jokingly as well, because it often comes off the wrong way and the person you're addressing gets offended anyway.

As in the message above, I was banned for jokingly calling a close friend "stupid" and my friend knew I didn't mean that. Even the context of our conversation would say that! This ban was for SIX MONTHS by the way.
