Trick-or-Treat Mini-Game Question

 Share

Question

Hey there, devs & helpers!

I was playing in the holiday's mini-game website, and as far as I know, those islands that move you 5 times back, "islands of fortune", can occur once per lap, and I quote (from the website's 'information'): "there will be special «Islands of Fortune» on your way. By entering them, you can move either forward, or go 5 islands back. Within the same lap, each trap can only work once, so if you hit an «Island of Fortune» and are pushed back, this one «Island of Fortune» will not push you back in this lap again."

Problem is, as I played right now I got moved 5 times back twice, meaning 10 times.

So what's going on? Is there more than one of those islands per lap? Maybe I misunderstood the rules? And if I didn't, can you get that checked?

Thank you & sincerely,

Liliana

HI, no it does not work this way. There is not one Island of Fortune per lap, there are multiple of those within each lap, and their numbers are higher with each lap you finish.

To give you an idea:

For example, lets say that in lap 1 there are islands of fortune on the island N.6 and island N.12. If you step on island 6 and are pushed back 5 steps, once you get back on the island 6 you will not be send back again, because this island has already been triggered once, thus it cannot send you back again. However, you can still be sent back if you step on island 12.

So each of those Islands of fortune can send you back, but they can only send you back once. If you step on them for second time, you will progress normally. Hope this explanation helps.
